MODS: these kinds of questions keep popping up in the main forum rather than in the Orthodox forum.

Could it have been a mistake to have changed the name to a fellowship forum?

Maybe we were better off having it named Halakhah, so that the questions regarding kashrut, shabbat, etc., would be directed there?

Ger,
Orthodox is for a place for Halacha issues without being attacked by constant unwanted nay sayers trying to push their agenda against halacha.
People can post here in fellowship and if people get others get rude we can go to a less public place to keep discussing with less harrassment.
It is great right now that we can discuss these things here in the main forum. About 18 months ago there was a huge attack every time any halacha came up and we couldn't have decent conversation without a bunch of garbage inbetween.
Also these kinds of interjections Off topic do not belong in threads. They belong in new threads.

If you:
push reply with quotes
type your message
cut
make new thread
paste

You will keep from side tracking the thread making it easier for the OP not to have to deal with questions and answers he/she did not ask about. It gets very frustrating in some threads that go all over the place and pages long without being anywhere near the topic.
