Prayers for a co-worker and her family.

The son of one of my co-workers passed away unexpectantly on Thursday night. He was a sophmore in college. Thursday afternoon he went with a few friends to play touch football and went into cardiac arrest while warming up.
His family is very close, and active in their church. They have already been through so much with other family illnesses, and I know they are struggling. This is especially hard for his sister, who had her 16th birthday yesterday.
Please join me in lifting this family up to God in your prayers.

Our sweet Lord, you fill our lives with purpose. You give us the gift of love. In love Lord, we feel the pain and loss of others but we know that your Hand is in our lives - that some might leave earlier than others. Lord, I am reminded of a story I heard so recently when a mother cried out in pain to you at the loss of her only son, a little boy who loved you dearly. In his passing Lord, his Doctor came to know you and received you. Your ways are a mystery to us Lord. May this son of yours who has passed - leave a christian ministry to others. Bless his family at this time Lord. Give comfort to his mother and father, his siblings and friends - you are our refuge from the stomr, you give us strength, you lift us up when we are down. Amen
