I appreciate all the hard work and expenses Erwin has done for his website, and I Look forward to even more and continued Christian witnesses by this website under the new owner and webmaster, LeeD. :)

Interesting. I suspect this was all part of the plans laid out quite some time ago. So I don't expect 4U's direction to change at all. In fact it's quite possible the changes that have happened this year were all in preparation for the new leadership to take over eventually. And I'm guessing that Lee has been involved behind the scenes for years, and this is not brand new to him. I am curious how much it sold for though.

I guess the general spirit of this place has had me thinking about its purpose even before 7/7/7. So far I've been able to anticipate quite a few of the changes simply because of that, and nothing has been shock so far. When you look at this place from a business standpoint instead of an "ecumenical" one, it all starts to make sense. And realistically, I can't see Erwin up and selling the site on a whim. All these changes were premeditated and for a purpose. He is not a stupid man and I don't think he's ever acted impulsively. He's a business man, and a very good one.

That's just my take anyway.

Well, Erwin said that it was not his intention to sell, and that LeeD had made offers in the past. But this last time when LeeD made an offer, it seemed the time to sell.

I kinda wish he sold it before 777. There was a lot of heartbreak this summer over the changes he made.

Erwin had told me before whatever God wants for the board is what he tries to do.
So i beleive he felt this is what God wanted right now.
The new guy seems good.

Not sure about Lee at all simply because I don't know him well.

As for Erwin I predicted (was off by almost 2 weeks) when the announcement would be made that the site was sold. I figured this out on 777. I don't believe either one of them if they claim that the decision to buy/sell was made anytime after that date. If so then it would indicate to me a deal fell apart someone and had to be re-negotiated.

As for thanking Erwin for "all the hard work" I've been here for quite a while both on and off staff and I have seen very little from Erwin except for inconsistency. I am sure that the coding was a difficult and time consuming effort but we all try to make a product the best we can to get a good price for it. I don't think CF was much more than an asset to Erwin for the past almost 3 years.


Sorry wanted to add that who made CF what it was, were the staff and former staff. I think Erwin had little to do with it.
