Yeah, I saw that. :rolleyes. Moron. It's all because he doesn't want to offend anybody even remotely related with Islam. Which is the same reason he takes the crappiest possible stance on Kosovo. Make me want to puke.

I can't imagine what would happen if he suggested we not refer to what happened to the Jews as genocide. How can he say it's ok to deny the Armenian Genocide??

This is dispicable! The only reason Bush is saying this is because of the Turkish military maneuvers in Iraq yestreday. He doesn't want to lose an Ally in the middle east.

Alot of politics behind this. Chances are they wont pass a resolution calling it genocide, UNLESS.....

The Turks are itching to cross the border with Iraq to hit kurdish targets. As of 10/9 American officials asked them not to cross the borders but Turkey didnt like that. If Turkey does indeed cross the border expect the genocide resolution to passTurkey ready to send troops into Iraq - Europe - MSNBC.com (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21205596)

Ladies and Gentlemen it has PASSED!!!!

Yet with the House's first order of business Wednesday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi made clear that Turkey's position was a hard sell. She introduced the Supreme Patriarch of all Armenians, Karekin II, to deliver the morning prayer — a daily ritual intended to be apolitical."With the solemn burden of history, we remember the victims of the genocide of the Armenians," Karekin said in the House. "Give peace and justice on their descendants."

“Despite President George Bush twisting arms and making deals, justice prevailed,” said Representative Brad Sherman, a Democrat of California and a sponsor of the resolution. “For if we hope to stop future genocides we need to admit to those horrific acts of the past.”

You should have seen the protests in Istanbul today! So much red flags! Didn't mind though. Good for business! They had to go somewhere after marching! ;) I can't wait (sarcasm) to see the Protests tomorrow!

Because the Jews aren't going to fly planes into building if we [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] them off.

Even CNN reported it. It's about time. The right thing to do isn't always the most popular thing to do.

I heard they took Hrant Dink's son to prison yesterday. Are they giving the Greeks a hard time as well?

No, so far not. However, my Armenian friend's shop was vandalized. It was a big mess. They didn't even steal anything, just vandalized. What a shame.
