Galatians 5:22-23

...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

I'm feeling slightly convicted at the moment that I do not exhibit these fruits at all times! :prayer:

And you are not the only one, my Dear Lady. I also find it hard sometime to follow in Jesus steps - but we will try harder. Very good thought of you this post.

I think most of here would admit to seeing elements of all the fruits in the lives. I think the problem comes however when our sinful nature distorts what the gifts really are. For example, i can see examples of genorisity in my life and i can see examples of self control. However my self control is often at the expense of my genorisity and my genorosity at the expense of self-control. It reminds me of the gospel reading from Sunday - if we only had faith the size of a mustard seed then we would be able to command the trees to move and place their roots in the sea. I dare say a comment could be made by Jesus regarding the indwelling of the Spirit. If we as a community lived the fruits more then the things we could do (social justice, stewards of God's creation, love!) may be immense.
