:wave: Hello, Angels!

Our team is growing really fast! This is GREAT news! :) I thought it might help to foster some Angels Team Spirit to have a introduction thread, and share about ourselves and get to know one another better.

Also, so members who visit the Angels Headquarters can learn a little about the angels who have been blessing them.

So - tell us about yourself! Please be sure to include why you joined the ForU.ms Angel team, and what you enjoy most. I look forward to getting to know you better! :angel:

Hi there! I'm RenFaireSprite (aka Jenn), and I am the ForU.ms Angels Coordinator / Trainer. I joined the forum in January of this year. As my username suggests, I am a big fan of Renaissance Faire. :)

I live on the east coast, and I work in the healthcare field as a Coder (definitely NOT a glam job!). I am blessed to be able to work around the schedules of my family - even if that means I work some really crazy hours! Please forgive my delirium at times... I am frequently online in a sleep-deprived state -

I am happily married for 14+ years to RavenRift, a Moderator on ForU.ms. We have a 9yo son, and our daughter will soon turn 7 (she's the little sprite in my avatar). I was able to be a full-time at-home mom until about 3 years ago, when we made the decision to send the kids to private Christian school (and needed a way to pay for it!). My family is my life.

My hobbies include reading, rubber stamping, and organizing. I love spending time with my family, and going out on dates with my husband. I do not like to clean (but I will when I need to), I do not like to cook (but I do when I have to) - and I am very blessed to have a husband who loves me despite this! And who is willing to pitch in with the household stuffs.

I love the Lord! And I enjoy serving Him in whatever way He calls me. Most recently I served in leadership for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) for 3 years before "retiring" and returning to the workforce full-time. I am searching for a new ministry niche (not an easy task, with my current schedule) - and love the unique ForU.ms Angel opportunity for outreach and fellowship. I really enjoy blessing others on the Forum, and helping them find a place to fit in. And thanks to Gweny, I also have the opportunity to help the new Angels get started (hopefully I'm doing okay with that - do I get a performance review? LOL!). My door is "open" if you need anything.

Anyhow - I'll stop rambling now! :D

Hi! I've been an angel for a while, but I came to the foru.ms because I first had a horse forum that I visited.
I was getting in trouble for starting threads having to do with religion. I decided to look for a Christian forum.
I found this wonderful site and joined Dec. 31, 2005!
I have been homeschooled for 6 yr.
I'm going back to private school next year. :-(
People here call me DoE.
I loved animals (horses above all!).
I want to be a vet.
I want to own my own animal clinic/boutique/adoption centre/horse sancuary for abused horses.
I would also love to be a missionary in India.
I would so enjoy starting a Christian orphanage as well.

Well, that's me!

Hmmm...I guess I can say a bit more. I joined this site in may as an agnostic, I reconverted back in late July. I'm currently homeschooled, I enjoy playing VG's and sports, I have two dogs, an American Eskimo and a Jack Russel; I have a cat as well, but it usually stays outside. That's about it...

Hi. I am HowardDean. Named myself that on another board, and came here when some from there came and kept the name.
Yes, I like the guy.
I am 48, a widow and mom of a teen.
I became a Yippie at a young age, (Chicago 7 for those who recall) and my interests are astronomy (Jack Horkheimer has a great web site about that), politics (to the left) and cannot live without my chocolate. (breakfast and before bed).
I got saved in September of 1978 thanks to a Hal Lindsey book, and have bene mostly non denominational.
I am always trying to be funny (so if you see a weird comment by me, it was meant to be humorous)

Hello,

I am Godslilgurlalways but you can call me Godslilgurl or you can even make up your own nickname for me:)

I am a foru.ms teen angel trainer. I have been apart of this site since October 2005. and I have been an angel since Nov. 2006, I am one of the orginal angels from when foru.ms angels started out. I became an angel beacuse I love helping people and praying for people. It seemed like a wonderful opportunity to get to know some more people and be able to be there for them and help them out.

I have been a christian for 9 years and 6 months. I basically grew up in a Pentecostal church. Even though I go to a Non-Denominational church nothing has changed as far as my beliefs and all. I am a person who loves the Lord with all of my heart.

I am invloved with Youth ministry, Praise Dance Minsitry, and Singing Ministry. I have also preached twice before. My first time was in July of this year and my second time was in August of this year. It is something that has begin to change my life. I am currently going towards my calling in the Lord of being an Evangelist.

I have been going back and forth about two things that I want to be when I grow up I have been thinking about Culinary Arts and Physcology. If I do Physcology I was thinking about taking it and doing couseling and all. If I do Culinary arts I thought about being a pastry Chef. I want to go to school to get my masters or at least my bachlors degree. I have been thinking about going to college soon as I get out of high school.

In whatever career I decided I want to eventually have my own businness, own my own home and everything. I can't wait to go to colege thougb it's something that I have been waiting to do for a long time too:)

favorite verse is Ephesians 16:11-17 but I think I have a new one coming along now but I have to find it. I have a favorite saying that was inspired through a verse. I found it on another site. "Day and Night I'll stick with God: I've got a good thing going and I'm not letting go". It was inspired by Pslams 16:8

My favorite song(s) right now is called it's not about us but it's about Jesus by bishop Noel Jones and the City of Refuge. The other one is called grateful and it's by Hezeikah Walker.

Also I love hanging out with friends, going to the movies,going to church, and listening to music. I can't really think of anything else to add except I truly love the Lord with all of my heart and if you would like to know anything else about me please check out my blog or feel free to send me a pm.

im snoopy and i joined foru.ms on october 12,2004.I joined cause my mom was a member here for a long while and she still is to this day.About 7 months ago,i started coming on all the time.Good things has happend to me and then there was a few setbacks,but that still does not stop me from coming to my favorite site with some of my favorite friends.The reason why im posting this is because im a former angel myself.I may pick it up around summer time next year hopefully

okay I'm one of your Chiefs...as if you didn't already know :P

I came on as one of hte first angels and started out as the graphics coordinator. That's all I did was make graphics for the Angels to use, and occassionally I'd venture into the welcome areas and guestbooks...most of hte blessings I sent were anonymous and I left that usually to the "real" Angels.

I've served as a Chief Angel since April when Adiya stepped down the first time, co chief when she returned and now I'm co chief with Saucy...my right hand man, and the brain I've needed for years ^_^

Most of you have already figured out I'm not a micromanager, and I'm open to great ideas...which we've had a lot of lately, and have implemented most of them!

Thanks to those ideas y'all are doing a great job, and working hard and it seems having more fun than ever in recruiting new Angels, welcoming new members, and praying for those in need :clap:

It's most definitely not me who makes this ministry the success that it is...it's each and every one of you! :hug:

Thank you all for making the Angels the wonderful outreach ministry it's become.

Hi y'all, I'm an uber new angel, about 3 hours old now ^_^

I joined CF/4U on Sept 1, 2004 as IrishGrace. That account got corrupted in the crash of March '07 and I've been CelticGrace ever since.

I was one of the original Angels but my life got busy right around that time so I had to quit after just a couple of weeks. But now I'm back and hopefully for a lot longer this time ^_^ I'm also a Support moderator.

I've been married for 3 years to Toulouse630... he never posts, mostly lurks in the D&D section. I think he's got a total of just under 200 posts and has been here since a week after me I think. We have an almost 2 year old miniature dachshund named Maximus.

My hobbies include movies, playing piano (since I was 5), singing, writing, playing Sims 2 and LOTR Online and watching football and hockey.

Everybody calls me CG, but I'll answer to pretty much anything :P

Thought I would stop by and tell everyone a little about myself.

I am a father of 4, 1 son(the youngest), and three daughters who have all grown up and moved away from home already. I have been a Christian since I was 6, but have really gained a passion for theology in the past 12 years. I own my own contracting business, installing ceramic tile which gives me a flexible schedule.

I joined cf to discuss theology with other Christians, but have been a bit discouraged in that by all the infighting among denominations. I still talk about theology here but have a more laid back approach.

I found the Blessings Exchange after about 6 months here, and have enjoyed the fellowship there and made many new friends. My experiences there gave me a desire to bring others in to share the experience. Several months ago I started a fellowship thread with incentive to bring new people to BE to enjoy the fellowship and fun. That seemed to be going well, so I decided to join the Angels to extend that outreach.

Fell free to encourage any of the newbies to stop by and visit with us each Sunday afternoon in BE.

Argh... You're giving me pet guilt. My kids give me puppy-dog eyes because they want a dog sooooooo badly! We have no pets. Before kids we had 5 cats - but they didn't like the kids, so... we found great new homes for all of them.
Want a dog? I've got two I'll gladly give ya!! ;)

Well, let's see...

I've been a Christian for ten years now, I have a great hubby, and an angel of a son named Remington, but we call him Remi. Some time next year we're hoping for another baby, I already know he'll be a boy the same way I knew Remi would be: God told me. I plan to homeschool all of my kids. I want between 7 and 9.

We currently live in MS, but God-willing will be moving to AL next month. It's only 45 minutes from here, so hubby gets to keep his job. We just bought a singlewide trailer and it'll be, God-willing, set up over there.

We have 4 dogs, a turtle, and a pretty little cat who just showed a couple of weeks ago. When we move, she'll become an indoor kitty, if she passes the vet's inspection.

I joined the Angels because hubby and I don't go to church, we plan to return when we move. So, I'm not involved in ministry, but wanted to be and thought this would be a great opportunity. :thumbsup:

My favorite part is welcoming and blessing newbies. :)

My name is Jennie as in (Jenny or Jennifer). I became an angel because I love meeting and greeting people. I love chatting and giving reps and blessings. I don't know, I just figured I could not only witness to others,but I could be witnessed to. It is an awesome way to lift others up and on the other hand get lifted up. I joined the forums about three years ago. I have only become realy active with in the last year year and a half. Any way I supose I will go so I can get to know other angels a little better. Looks like the bar was set pretty high here by the responses so far.

My name is Iddie4him, My original account was hosed in the crash of March as well so I got this one. I go by Chris most of the time. I have been here since CF opened up pretty much public in Feb 02.

I have done 2 stints on staff as an Admin and Sr Admin, Helping head up several different teams. A little over 3 and a half years combined. Recovery and Debate mostly.

I'm not sure where to start really.
I came here cause Gweny asked if I would be willing to help, I said sure thing.
I am a SAHD so I have plenty of spare time.
I am married, going on 7 years next July and have a 5 y/o son, Matthew. One pet, a cat named trouble.

Right after I got out of high school, I went into the service, Doing 4 years in the Army and several in the Marines before breaking my back in an accident. I am on full disability after having 5 major back surgeries in 5 years. It's given me time to watch my son grow and learn. Often in wide eyed wonder as I try to explain why a caterpiller goes into a cocoon and a butterfly comes out.

I was raised Roman Catholic and later found a Non Denominational church I liked. I was saved at 12 and later was baptized when I made a personal statement of faith.

Hi I'm Mickey or Mike whatever works lol.

I just joined CF Angles today. I joined the team because I have a passion to grow and watch people work with there faith. I love the power or prayer and love to share that with many people. I've gone through a lot in the last few years. Most being churches and family problems and personnal Indentity problems.

I just recently found this forums nearly three months ago and was blessed to be here. I remember getting a pm from a CF Angle which blessed me a lot and made me feel I can't believe there is people like that on the internet. I always met rude and horrible people on the internet. I remember that CF Angel through my mind but not by name and whoever it was it encouraged me to be here.

I also felt moved by the spirit and other people in the threads that I needed to step up to the plate. I decided that I would start praying for people and then I remembered CF Angels why not trying for it. I sent the app in and I was thrilled to get a message pretty much right a way saying to look into it. At first there was problems like the IP check but I felt like it was a thing satan was trying to do to stop it from happening so I rebuked the message qwen sent and then latter she came back and I was offically part of this group.

I'm glad to because I can help people because I do have an online ministry of my own that I moderate and controll too and I know what its like to see people crying there hearts out. Some people get down on my about my ministry because they don't think its christian like and it hurts to see that coming in a message from someone. My ministry is for Teens that have personnal Indentity problems such as I had and it makes me happy to see a teen come up to the plate and cry there heart out in a post. I'm happy for it it makes me a better person then ever before.

I am a single mom of two beautiful little boys (check 'em out in my blog!) ages 6 and 3. I work full-time in sales...I pimp electronics components. :D

As my username indicates, I am a native Floridian. I moved about 2 hours north of my hometown almost 2 years ago and am working on establishing my roots here now. I am looking for a church home and missed being involved in ministry, so I thought the Angels would be a good way to get involved again.

Previously, I have served as Director of Christian Education, Nursery Coordinator, Women's Circle leader (I led a bible study for SAHM moms), Sunday night children's ministry, as well as being involved in a small group.

Pets - we have one fish, one bird, one dog, and a pond full of turtles that my older son likes to name when we feed them bread. :D We also catch brim (a small fish) by the bucketfuls!

I look forward to being a part of this ministry and getting to know y'all!

My name is Alexier but most of my friends call me Lexie or Alex - whichever I answer to both lol!
I work full time running a Post Office and I am also in going through the Selection Process in hope of becomming a Priest for the Anglican Tradition.
I'm single (what was it Paul said about being Single is Great for the Lords work - thats me lol)
I live in a Beautiful part of North Wales where you can look into the sky at night and see some Fantastic Stars (the Lords Creation is fantastic isnt it?) and then walk amongst Lush green fields! Stunning!
I have one cat called Kizzy and my Hobbies are CHoir / Guitar / Music in General! / Film - I'm in love with Denzel Washington lol! / Reading - Lots of things really!

I'm also a new angel... just officially became one yesterday. I put in an application after perusing some random threads and I saw the CF Angel application and thought, "Hey, why not?" Haha. I love helping people and praying for others, so I thought this might be a great opportunity to reach out to them.

I'm 16 years old and I live in the very sunny state of Florida! I have a passion for people and I love meeting new ones. I love God with everything I have and even more.. He's done so much for me that I can't even put it all into words.

Since we're talking about pets, I have one chunky kitty and a dog who I really don't like. I love my cat a lot (sometimes I wonder if it's too much ;)), but not so much the dog (she often bites my ankles and barks at me..)

I've been on CF since October 2007. I had an account a long time ago, but I forgot the password when I came back, so I had to create a new account.

I can't wait to start the work of being an Angel! :D

Got my wings on Dec 29,2007 am a angel in training at this time. Applied for angel because I love helpping people and giveing back to were have been blessed. Have met some really great people that I would have never otherwise met thru this forums room.
Was raised Lutheran became a born again Christain in 1984. Have been married 24 years and still going. My husband is one of Gods greatest gifts to me and my children are three of Gods many blessings all three where premature. My Grand daughter is another blessing god has given me, along with my honorary daughter. Any how I was born in Ny raised in sunny Tampa bay area of Florida where I lived more then 20 years of my life. My husbands job moved us to Va and where we currently reside.

Am a sunday school teacher have taught sunday school since age of 13. Have taught at private Christain School in Florida.

Am very greatful God lead me to CF. Loved reading intro threads here. Looking forward to getting know each of you here.

Hi everybody, I'm Candy. :wave:

I just became a brand new Angel & am just familiarizing myself with this new role. I have been here on CF since July 2004, so I am very familiar with CF already & quite frankly, I love this place! It's a wonderful forum to meet new on-line friends!

I have a full time job in the insurance field, so I will be online mostly just in the evenings & week-ends. I work in Automobile Claims, so I get to meet a lot of new people through my day job too.

On the home front, I am married with 2 grown sons. My youngest still lives at home with me, being in college. And although I am married (not divorced yet), I live separately from my hubby. So right now I am separated. I have 2 grandsons and hoping for a 3rd very soon. And I also have a lovely 4 yr. old cat named Shadow. Shadow's all grey as his name suggests.

I'm also in Canada & right now, we are going through a meltdown from a ton of snow we had a few weeks ago. We don't usually get snow so early, but we started early & have seen over 6 ft. of it so far this season. Normally the snow doesn't come until Jan. It makes me wonder what Jan. is going to bring! Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised & just see flurries all month. :)

I also was a Prayer School teacher for many years & eventually became the School's Administrator. Walking & talking to the Lord is very dear to my heart. So I'll be checking in on those prayer threads & praying for all those dear souls there.

I'm looking forward to meeting & chatting with all of you!

Hi everyone

OK, you gotta know that I am really bad at doing these introduce yourself bits so bear with me.

My name is Andy (surprise, surprise:D ). I'm on the wrong side of 40 but not worried about it;) . I have been on CF since Oct 2004, so know my way round a good chunk of the site already.

On personal level I am engaged to a lovely lady called Laura, and we have between us three wonderful children (one of each;) :D ). I live in a lovely English village called Laceby in the county of Lincolnshire, which is on the eastern side of England.

I work in the gatehouse of a large docks complex about 12 miles from my home. Been here about 5 years now.

Spiritually, I we worship at a Baptist church, although I was raised a Salvationist. Personally I consider myself a Christian first and an 'ist' second. That having been said, we love our church and the people in it:)

Howdy, All!

I was asked to be join the CF Angels by my congregational moderator and I'm still not sure what she's thinking, but I promised to go where God leads me some time agao, so here I am. :angel:

My name is Melinda and I was blessed enough to have been raised in a Christian home as well as the Confessional Lutheran doctrine. After some years wandering the desert, the Holy Spirit led me back home with a ferver and to work with my family in the Texas town I was raised in after my divorce 9 years ago.

I am involved with a wonderful man in England whom my daughter adores as he does her. He is developing an appreciation for the Lutheran doctrine as we progress in our relationship and share time together as we can between Texas and Portsmouth. It's definitely different!

It's nice to get to know everyone here and I look forward to assisting whenever I can. :hug:

Hello and Hugs Angels, I just noticed this thread and so to introduce myself to the new Angels, and even new members who don't know me..

My name is Tammy, I'm 48, and I live on 12 acres of land in the country. We've shrunk our pets down to 4 cats (indoor) and 2 dogs (outdoor).
I love strays :)
I'm also happily married to Shawn...nick here is ranyhyn.

I love to read, create graphics, watch movies, I love my online time and my family of online friends!
We belong to an Independant Baptist church and I love my family there too.

I loved being an Angel before my almost 6 month sabatical, and I'm enjoying it again and am glad I was chosen to be your Coordinator. I'm learning what that entails as far as helping you all..but please know that you can PM or email me anytime if I can help you with anything.

I'll probably post more..but right now I'm having to get in the shower.
I love the Angels, and you're all wonderful to dedicate to use your love for The Lord in this way.

A little about me - I'm an army wife and a full time college student. My husband is currently deployed for his second tour of duty in the sandbox (Iraq). He has been deployed since the end of November. I'm 21 and he is 23 and we have been married for 8 months. Um I'm a history major and a sociology minor and we have two kitties. Brett gets out of the army not long after he comes home. Ummm I'm really open so if you want to know more about me just ask :)

Right now my brother just called, he is in Alaska right now, he flew out of Hawaii, thats where he is stationed, and they are now in Alaska.

Alaska *shivers* I'll stick with TN I was born and raised here so I'm used to the heat but Alaska.

I'm Louise, I'm 26 and happily married to my lovely husabnd Pete. It's out 2nd anniversary on the 27th may :clap:

I joined this forum just before i got married in 2006 but had a long break and started posting regularly again Dec/Jan.

It's been a crazy year - I have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and have not been able to walk since Jan, spent two weeks in hospital at the end of Jan - am now home but in a wheelchair. Am waiting for physio.

All of this has taught me how much i need to rely on God and not myself! Although it's tough - my hubby is great and it has really brought us closer together.

I am a worship leader and youth leader at my church and really enjoy singing.

I joined the angels because i believe encouragement is one of the most important gifts you can give someone.

Look forward to getting to know you all better.:thumbsup:

High Everone, My Name is Elizabeth, but I use the Name Elshevia, as that is how my Name is spelled in Hebrew,
and when I asked what they were calling me, that is what I was told so I kept it to use in the internet, as a sort of protection for myself, and I like the as my friend in Israel spoke it.

I am a lady of mature years, over 21+++ a Grandmother
of 5, and I am a Widow, and live by myself I am a mature Christian. who loves the Lord and to Pray for all who come, in need or distress, when I was working I was a Community Midwife who Delivered Mothers in their own homes, and/or took them into Hospital if needed,
and I did that for over 25 years,

And it was a delight and a joy to deliver healthy Babies,
and after 25 years of doing this, I was starting to deliver the babies, of the babies I delivered, now that is a great blessing and does not come to many Midwifes to-day.

I have three Grand Children in College twin girls age 18,
and the baby Ben age 16, The oldest is a Teacher,
Rhys, and the oldest Grand Daughter is a Painter and her Name is Sarah-Jane, the apple of my eye.

i love to go off-roading and mudding in my jeep but i haven't been able to do that in while.
i work at a daycare.
i don't have kids of my own yet but i do have a few at work that i could take home with me if i could.

Greetings all!

I am from Australia, and am currently completing studies in Media and Communications. After, I graduate I would like to work as journalist, or website desginer and content manager. I wouldn't mind working for church as well. I enjoy studying and find it better than working ;) But with that said it's always nice to earn something, which you can't do with study..

Last year I became an Aunty for the first time.. I am the youngest of three children and have two older brothers. I am 25 years old, so even though some tell me i am so young sometimes I wish i was younger.. hehe

Interested in reading books anything on Christian living, pyschology, personal development. Movies and taking walks, I like dancing.. would love to join a class? can anyone recommend what style of dancing is good?

I'm a new Angel (about two hours, to be exact) and it is lovely to be here. My name is Jaime, but you can call me J or even Minty is fine.

I'm 31, live in London, England and I joined in August last year. At about the same time CF was going through the change to For.ums and it didn't feel the same (and my faith path changed) so I left for a while.
About three weeks ago, my faith in Jesus became sure and I remembered CF, so I came back (and was highly delighted to see the name had been changed back :thumbsup:).

I applied to be an Angel and also for the prayer team (which is being re-organised so I'm on the waiting list) and Gwenyfur told me tonight that I made it, so here I am :D

I remember when I first joined the people were so friendly and welcoming and I would like to help newbies and old hands alike and to let all members (regardless of religion) know that I am here to help them.

I'm just waiting for my little floating Angel icon and my training info.

I look forward to working with you all in the future.

Hi to everyone! I'm very newbie...only had my halo for a few hours now, but I'm excited and ready to go!

Ok..me..Well, I'm Sabrina. I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart for 25 years and we have a 23 YO son in collage.

I'm a RN and work in the Gerontological field. I am the Health Care Coordinator for an Alzheimer's Adult Day center. My heart is with each of my 80 patients every day.

We have two mini-dachshunds...Sam & Lucy. After our baby moved out I had to have fur babies. They are momma's cuties!

I have been on CF for two years or so and have always wanted to be able to get more involved in the outreach part of it. On April 4th I will be leaving my job and will have lots of time to devote to it now!

I am a kidney patient and the one kidney I have is now down to 29% function rate...hence having to leave my job. I just can't go, go, go like I used to! All prayers are welcomed!

I look forward to meeting you and working with you! This is all very exciting!!!

Still learning how to use these new wings so if I come in for a crash landing just get outta the way!! LOL!!!:holy:

Hi everyone :wave: I became a CF angel officially this morning. I am so excited to be able to help the new members get around the site. When I joined CF I got a very warm welcome and lots of assistance on getting my character together. I remember wondering why my character wouldn't show.....I had all the right clothes, never dawned on me to get a body. ^_^ So as you can tell I am computer challanged. So I will be asking for help so that I can help others.

I am a single mom. My daughter is 25 years old. I have a jack russell doggie named Jack. I love the beach, reading good books, watching comedies, theatre, concerts. I love having fun and laughing. I play the drums [not very well] but what a great stress reliever.

I was involved in Pioneer Clubs. (I was a leader for 14 years) I am currently involved with the womens retreat committee at my church.

I have been through a lot in my life and believe that God put me through the challanging times so that down the road I could help others. :hug:

Well...I weigh about 175 and 150 will happen sometime this year (healthily)....prebabies weight was 135.....so see I set reasonable goals.LOL

I've been happily married for 15 years this year...

My children are 18,14,and nearly 11 yr. old.

My name is Ashley, and I am a 22 year old university student majoring in Secondary Education: Chemistry 9-Adult. I am getting ready to start my last course before graduation next week, and I will hopefully be able to graduate next month!!

I am so excited to be accepted as a CF Angel!! I had thought about applying for a long time, but I finally decided to last week. I wanted to be a CF Angel because I enjoying greeting new people and answering questions to help those 'in need' on one thing or the other. CF has been such a positive in my life, and I fondly remember the CF Angel who welcomed me. She is probably the biggest reason I came back to CF the next day... I felt welcomed and wanted. :hug: I'm so excited to get started here!!
