(Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.)

The comforter : action noun from the verb comfort and it's meaning in the bible dictionary ( the intercessor , the protector , and the Advocate )

Then Jesus complete talking about the comforter
(I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.)
Jesus tell his disciples before he leave he did not tell them every thing (, but ye cannot bear them now )
why he did not say all things ? but ye cannot bear them now
also this is a direct announcement from Jesus that the doctrines did not complete yet
And this comforter he will complete it after Jesus (when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth )
Now …. Who is the comforter or the spirit of truth Jesus talked about ?
Jesus said that the comforter will not come until Jesus go (if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you )
Jesus also affirm that the comforter isbetter than him (It is expedient for you that I go away )
Expedient for you means something better for you
Jesus said : (and he will shew you things to come. ) means what will happen in this earth
Jesus said : (he will guide you into all truth ) God guide us into truth throw prophecy ( Moses – Abraham - ….. )
Jesus said : (: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak )
This is prophets Job : they hear form god … then speaks what God tell them .

But many Christians said the comforter or the spirit of truth is not man or human … it is spirit god send it to the hearts of the believers to increase their faith ….. it is the holy spirit … if the comforter is spirit not a man
Then I need answers for these questions … please :

1- the holy spirit was there before Jesus depart helping supporting him … then why Jesus said : (if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you)
2- why Jesus make condition ( the comforter will come after I depart ) ?
3- is the comforter better than Jesus so he said (is expedient for you that I go away ) ?
4- is this spirit talking what shall hear .. and not speaking of himself ?
5- is this spirit tell about things to come ?
6- how the holy spirit can not speak of himself... but needs to hear what it will speak ?
7- what is the relation between the things Jesus want to tell … and the holy spirit ?
8- The holy spirit get back to disciples after 10 days from Jesus depart … is this enough time for the disciples to be ready for the things Jesus want to say ?
9- Can we consider Jesus saying ( as new prophecy ) ?

Have you totally ignored the scripture which says the Comforter is the Holy Ghost? See John 14:26:

Joh 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you"

Interesting... but unclear, at least to me. I get no discernment here, so will pray and wait upon the Lord for clarity. In the meantime, He tells me, "don't worry about it!"

Jesus with these wonderful words elucidate : to his disciples how to know the true prophet from the false prophet …
also he is putting a measure (so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit) between the ( true – false ) prophet … is a prove there is other prophet will come
other thing if Jesus the last ... then he will say ( I am the last do not follow any one after me .. because they all false prophets )

and how do we know the true prophet from the false prophet …. Simple
by their fruits ye shall know them

Jesus clearly said " I am the way the truth and the life..." and he also said " I am the First and the Last." THe bible is also clear in the 11th Chapter of Matthew verse 13, that the Prophets stopped at John the Baptist.

But it will start on others in son from Ishmael
Read the bible will find the first proof … written in the same chapter

who is this prophet ( the least ) that greater than John Baptist ?
and there is other proof about this prophecy … that John Baptist is not the last prophet :

3- if you can not … read only … read only … as many in this forums
believe me I am not looking for a debate …. These are visions … also I am not waiting from others to answer … I am searcher for truth …. I see these visions are the truth

I am not sure what you are asking in your post but there is only one God, right?

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all refer to ONE GOD, right?

The Son and the Holy Spirit both come to us from the Father, right?

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, God manifest in the flesh, the image of the invisible God, right?

The Comforter is the Holy Spirit that comes to us from the Father in the name of the Son (ONE GOD), right?

The Comforter, Holy Spirit is "the Spirit OF TRUTH", also right? (and Jesus Christ is THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE), right?

When speaking of the Comforter, Jesus said:

Joh 14:16-20 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (( I )) will not leave you comfortless: (( I )) will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and (( I )) in you.

It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are begotten from above (born again).

I can't answer all your questions, but I will try to answer these as best I can..


the Way, the Truth, and the Life means..


that Jesus Christ is the only WAY to the Father...

Joh 14:5 Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You go, and how can we know the way?
Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.
Joh 14:7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. And from now on you know Him and have seen Him.


Jesus Christ reveals the TRUTH of the Father and the Kingdom.

Joh 1:17 For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Joh 5:33 You sent to John, and he bore witness to the Truth. (he bore witness to Jesus Christ)


LIFE.. spiritual and eternal is found in Christ...

Rom 8:2 But the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father; even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The Holy Spirit was not given to Gentiles, nor was it given to all the Jews. However Jesus said that ALL who believe in him will recieve the Spirit and that he would dwell with them. That is totally different from before when his indwelling was only temparary.

2- why Jesus make condition ( the comforter will come after I depart ) ?

The Holy Spirit guides people, while Jesus is gone we need to listen to the Holy Spirit. Jesus makes the condition because he was simply following the plan of the Father.

3- is the comforter better than Jesus so he said (is expedient for you that I go away ) ?

"better" is simply a word chosen by you. It was important that he left so that the Holy Spirit would seal his followers.

4- is this spirit talking what shall hear .. and not speaking of himself ?

Each member of the Godhead is distinct and yet one- just as Jesus heard,a nd created,a nd it was the Father that spoke.

Consider the book of Revelation.

You are thinking to hard, how come we don't do what we want to do instead of listening to what God says to do? Just like Jesus, the Holy Spirit is willing to hear the will of the Father.

No, Jesus didn't bring anything new, besides one Commandment "To love your neighbor as yourself."
