Why has letalis left?
Read njy's post :(

Is sad, sweetie - but if God has told them to go, He has a plan in it. And maybe He needs them somewhere else. Just think how many people they can be a blessing to.:)

Ecclesiastes 3

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

It's not just that, though. Nyj is newly married and will be so very happy, and that's wonderful.

But it's the in-fighting and flaming and anger and meanness and it's just all sad-making.

I feel kinda bummed by all that's been going on with this site. Not so much of the change of the name, but all the people leaving, getting hurt and the viciousness of people in general. It puts a damper on how I feel when I come onto this site, and makes me woner what's going on...:sigh:

What is sad is that it may be the right decision with the direction this board is going in. I am sad to see secret forums, things hidden, and general growth and acceptance of what once would not have been allowed. Perhaps they are just leading the latest stampede.

They will be back. :)

I think it is common for Christians to get tired, but they will be back. Afterall, they are not here by their own works, but here for the glory of God. God does give vacations, you know. They will be back. Trust me. :hug:

In the meantime, God will send new warriors that we will get to know and love just as much. Hasn't He already begun doing that? ;)

I know that even with God on my side, I can feel discouraged and defeated when I read about things such as the secret forum and just christians arguing amongst themselves. I just want to scream "God what's up with that!" :(

Hi Honey,

I'm okay. I've got to finish a dissertation and hand it in soon. So I've cut down some of my time on the forum, and am resisting the temptation to get involved with any of the debates :D

Trying to think of an interesting thread to start. :confused:

Lisa, cheer leading is not what is needed. What is needed is folks consistently telling Erwin what is happening and the impact of his decisions.

He will take cheer leading as acceptance and then another compromise will come down.

If I have to be cheery about this kind of spiritual compromise I'll head back to CARM.

I am not upset with you but I believe you are naive on this one. And I am not a prophet but am a pastor with thousands of hours of pastoral counseling experience.

Not to even allow the Pastoral Team to thoroughly review this is a slap in their faces and very short sided.

I understand your sentiments here but imho there are 2 ends of the spectrum and neither end is usually advisable.

I think that we should fight fights for the right, and yet we ourselves be blameless. We can be bold and straightforward and yet try to remain personally unoffensive. Jesus went ballistic 2 times, once cleansing the temple3, and once in matthew 23 after bearing 3 years with pharisees.

Other than those 2 times Jesus said 'render unto caesar the things that are caesars. He said blessed are the meek and the peacemakers, THESE are the children of God.

I agree with boldness to rise and confront issues, but i believe too that we represent Christ not just in what we stand for but HOW as well. We are at a serious point where we need to be wise as serpents but personally harless as doves... not just good advice, but a command.

Diplomacy is best served civilly and positively when standing on a firm basis or foundation, and we have the foundation of the word to stand on. Yes we must confront it, but in a spirit which truly wants a Godly resolve, or fight for the best we can get in a way that shows strength, but dignity and nobility and honor too, because these are attributes of our God.

Lets all stand together in our resolves and fight together as a body, in meekness not weakness, nobility and strength.

It was intended as a joke and encouragement, Steve.

I think you know how seriously I take this whole matter.

However, I also feel that the forces of Satan feed off of Christian gloom and doom. If they do not feed off of it, they sure get a kick out of it.

I am not saying laugh it off, but like Paul and Silas, sing through it and praise God through it. I bet ole Paul and Silas told a few jokes in prison too.

Hey, Sile, Hear the one about the Pharissee, the Sadducee, and the Apostle?

<Silas rolls his eyes>, No, Paul

Well, the Pharissee and the Sadducee were arguing about the resurrection and finally they asked the Apostle what he thought. The Apostle thought for a moment and then said "Well, if y'all don't know, then, what am I in prison for?"

Trust me , I'd love unification in this time of tormoil. The problem is some of our brothers don't seem the ramafications of this website and it's godless positions. I don't care how many times we scream "it will get better, it will get better." Reality is that it hasn' and it wont.

I can't tell you how sad I am. :(

Back in 2002, when I first came here, this website was truely a Christian website. I loved it here. Yeah, we had a bunch of dissagreements, but it was Christians differing with Christians.

Now, we have something altogether different.

Now we have Satanists, with there own private website.

Here is what my hubby is telling me:

If it smells like dog poop, if it looks like dog poop, then it is dog poop.

I can't disagree with him, sorry to say!:(

I really was able to consider this website being secular, and able to continue posting here at a secular website.

However, the recent tide of events, with Satanists who like having sex with Satan and his demons, has really done it in for me.:(

There is nothing sacred about this site, there is nothing Christian about this site.

We are in the House of Satan.

It is his playground.

It is his website.

There are no other shoes to drop.

The last shoe has dropped.

This site belongs to Satan, and the powers of evil.

'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one'
Amen

You know guys, we sure are spending a lot of energy on this. Recovering Christians that have delve in the occult do need a place to fellowship and heal. I agree with Steve that the pastoral team needs to be heavily involved. As a matter of fact, the mods need to be from the pastoral team and not some recovering satanist. I disagree with Erwin in that the forum should not have autonomy to elect their own mods and that it should not be hidden. Christians that are suffering from this horrible satanistic past need to be able to find this forum.
I think that we need to pray about this and offer our suggestions with Christian love. These people are hurting. Just reading some of Moriah's posts breaks your heart. The girl obviously has been through some rough times and she is hurting. And I mean, really hurting. Maybe a place where they can discuss this will do a lot of good to the rest of the site.
We need to pray for this people. We need prayer cover to help them deal with this. I am praying for them and you should too. Pray for Erwin also because he needs it in a bad way.

Sadly I'm beginning to think so also.

First the FU re-org where anything goes.
Now this.

I respect Tom so much.

I've been a member since 2003 under this and another ID. I'd get mad and stomp off. But this takes the cake. We keep thinking that Erwin cares. BUT HE DOESN'T AND HE'S MADE THAT ABUNDANTLY OBVIOUS. Evil has more than a toehold here at FU (props to Tom from whom I got FU). What I've discovered about the truly mentally ill and/or demon possessed is that they are obsessed with the things of God but are unwilling to submit to his authority. Thus they agonize. My neighbor's son, my girlfriend's daughter. They cry, they go to the altar over and over, they rail at God and man BUT THEY WILL NOT CLAIM THE BLOOD because they do not want Jesus' Lordship. Period!

The ex-occultists or worse yet, Christian occultists, writing the WIKI is the inmates running the asylum. :eek:

I've really got some thinking to do. I've said this at least once a week since 7-7-7. I want my life back. I'm sick of crying about this place.

Funny thing is, it isn't even the subforum's existence that makes me angry. It is the fact that the one's who are trying to follow the rules and behave and do the right thing (add cliche here) have once again been kicked to the curb in favor for the brash and bullying. My grandmother's favorite saying for me (because I have always been somewhat of a welcome mat) was "The squeaky wheel gets the most oil." I have never been able to be a squeaky wheel. And lately I feel very dry. :sigh:

I'm of two minds on this. I see your point about staying and fighting for godliness here at FU but at this point I've fought for the past year or so and watched CF get flushed down the john. I may need to shake the dust off my sandals so that I'm not so angry all the time. And I have to admit that CF can become an obsession. I'm probably spending way too much unproductive time here when I could be reading, learning, fellowshipping, teaching, evangelizing, etc. all the things we have been called to do. I came here as a baby Christian and made some really good friends - even with a couple of atheists. But the spirit of this place has been darkening. I think I just need to turn it over to the Father and let Him make the decision for me.

I do love you all in this forum. I really do! :hug:

Warriors of God all get discouraged and need a time to heal here and there, but they always return to the battle :)

We know what we are standing for, and that we are called to stand. As peter asked, Who should we obey, God or man? We have nothing to fear but not being the dilligent servent :)

1.
Be strong in the grace of the Lord,
Be noble and upright and true,
Be valiant for God and the right,
Live daily your duty to do.
Be strong! Be strong!
And God will your courage renew.

2.
Be strong in the grace of the Lord,
For wholehearted service prepare;
Be thoughtful for all who are weak,
And hasten their burdens to share.
Be strong! Be strong!
Be eager to do and to dare.

3.
Be strong in the grace of the Lord,
Be armed with the power of his might;
Be daring when dangers abound,
Courageous and brave in the fight.
Be strong! Be strong!
And victory will be your delight.

Know this lil sister

Evil men and seducers (and yes even the times of trouble coming such as never was) shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived... but in another passage we see this...

THOSE THAT DO know their God will be STRONG and DO.

Every day sister, God's grace is sufficient to meet what's ahead

I'm grieved over the deception by the posters and the staff over the matter. :( But as Time2B posted, it's really a sign of the times. No one is using discernment. I wish someone would post the following verses in the staff threads:

MT 12:43 "When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. [44] Then it says, `I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. [45] Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."

You cannot be/remain delivered unless you have the Holy Spirit residing within you. If you continue to spew, you are NOT delivered no matter what you say! :cry:

That said, I love you guys too much to leave even though I took a 12 hour break. Sounds like I need a 12-step program. :P

Lentalis said it a while ago in a thread and I am reading a lot about it in the conference room. The last I heard from Erwin was that the following:

The new refuge forum is still being discussed by the pastoral and recovery teams and will be changed.

I am not sure what the end result will be but the majority of the staff is against the secrecy. I pray that the pastoral team is given full reign over this new forum and that the end forum is not secret. There has to be accountability.
