I see your point, Max, but speaking personally, if I was messing up enough to upset 70% of people, I wouldn't deserve to be a mod and wouldn't want to be one.

I can see a danger of conservative ourspoken mods being removed by members of nonconservative congregations. I personally think this can be dangerous

I think that as long as a mod is in their area they have nothing to worry about. If a mod is going all over the place upsetting people then a recall is in order whether that mod is in their area or not. Remember that recall is only one step, then there has to be consensus.
