View Full Version : Mods Wanted!

Okay, we really do need more mods. For the time being and for the future. How many CCC members are already mods in other areas? Would you be willing to mod in a dual role until we can get fully staffed in CCC?

How many members have ever thought about being a mod? There is not that much to it except the time commitment. Minimum is 4 hours per week. Other than that, it is just a matter of enforcing the rules, and let's face it. We just do not have that many reports here.

Yet, our autonomy depends on us getting fully staffed.

Lisa - was considering this last week.
But things have changed...
If I can find my way back, would be glad to help.

You would be a wonderful mod. You have the heart for it. When you find your way back, I know you would have the backing of the whole forum.

I've been putting alot of thought into it and if it's only 4 hours a week that's required, I think I would be able to do that.

Not sure if people would vote me in, but I'll throw my hat into it if you think I could do it Lisa. I've been a moderator on a secular board in the past...for about a year. I know how to set aside my own personal feelings and be unbiased when necessary.

Let me know. :)

I am just praying we can talk Miss Green into staying with us. Perhaps if you PM'd her and let her know that we have two more apps, it might persuade her.

No, she resigned this morning. Or maybe it was late last night. Different time zones. I don't know. Maybe it is tomorrow.

Anyway, if we can talk her into staying, Tishir wants her back and will welcome her with open arms.

I know most here dont know me very well, but i would volunteer. I wouldnt be able to moderate but a few hours in the evenings for now because of work, but i may be able to devote more time in the future as well.

Well, I know your doctrine is sound, and you seem to understand what our goal is here. Let's check that. How do you see CCC internally and externally?

Very hard question to answer in some respects. I personally see this forum as the standard on this board. Representing the doctrines handed down from Christ through the apostles. We are the minority, yet we must not be solely 'defensive', as i believe we are to be on the offense, ready to stand for the word and ready to challenge others, not in an arguementive way, but in ways that provoke thought.

I believe it is our duty to stand on and for the word. I do realize that in this life it is nearly impossible for everyone to be in total agreement concerning every doctrine. It is an ongoing prospect, never ending really. There will always be new converts and new people to teach, and even seasoned vets dont always agree. On the whold though, i believe we all agree to most standards.

As to welcomeing others who are not conservative, i believe we should to a point, because who knows whether or not one might be converted. On the other hand, this too should always remain a safe haven. Safe from false doctirne, safe from outside attack. Safe for every conservative christian... this is our home

Well, I will have to check with Jo on that. I think there is a rule that states you have to wait 6 months before applying again. Hold on, I will go check.

I believe it is in the Mod Applications snapshot. I am not 100%. I am checking with Tishri and Jo.

Sure, go ahead and then you and I will get into a big hassle when I try to show your statements to be false. I don't want that to happen anymore.

I can prove to you with Scripture that what you just said is IMPOSSIBLE. :P

As long as we keep this friendly, I don't mind. There are some negatives about being a mod. We do have to give over some of our personality and individuality to be a mod.

Okay, Jo has contacted the first three that I talked with, I think. She has asked that all other members who are interested to hold off for awhile so she can invest the time into their training. She will have 4 just from CCC assuming all three are elected plus Hen is in training right now. Then, on top of that, she has others from other forums.

Experienced mods are still very, very welcome to help get us all up to speed though.
