No, seriously. Why do single, conservative, Christian women seem so rare? Is it just because they get hitched so quickly?
Hrm...questions...
You gentlemen fortunate enough to be married to a conservative woman, where were you lucky enough to find her?
You married conservative ladies (found by a lucky man, no doubt), where were you found?
And, well, everyone really is welcome to say whatever they like. :D

Hmm... good question... I would havta say wit my wife she was on the fence when we met, er mother is insanely.. can I say that? hehe insanely liberal, still is, oh the fights we git into... but I think ... an I know this may sound bad, but wit my wife I think I may have turned er somewhat. Least from bein on the fence to seein some of the "logic" behind the liberal movements an the like.
Jes for the record, my wife found me actually, she was in Italy at the time an I was in Texas an she icq'd me. Thinkin nuthin of it, but bored out of my brain I responded, a year later we were married an expectin our first child hehe.
I will say though... from time to time, I see a bit of the liberal stuff back in er a bit, espically if we start debatin the differences between the politics in the US verses the UK.

Here, (England) people are married by the time they turn like 8. Or 20. Whatever. When they're young.
So, in all seriousness, my question is where are the conservative men?!

Where are the conservative men? In the U.S., of course. ;)

Well, I for one have gotten MORE conservative the older I have gotten... I think personally it's really hard on women who choose more traditional paths in our world. The conservative woman of today may not really be the same as a conservative woman of say the 1950s... Sure, the morals will be there and such, but there is so much forced upon women as far as career-type stuff that I think a lot of women do not see how rewarding a more conservative lifestyle (marriage, family, children, etc...) can be!
I don't know I'm half-asleep here, and I'd be willing to talk about this more tomorrow! :) I have a lot of thoughts on this subject myself -- regarding the "disappearance" of the traditional role of women in our society. I personally think it is a VERY dangerous thing...
OK, more tomorrow! :)

I had a conservative woman and lost her. We too met on the internet at the official 'left behind' board. She was the earthly love of my life for 8 blessed years. I will always be greatful to God i had her.
Losing her grieves my heart to the point i cant help but cry for losing her even now. What a blessing she was to my life.

All the conservative women I know seem like postmodern liberals with a Christian twist. They focus so much on looks and they talk about guys 24-7, man that's so annoying.

At my dad's house;)
Seriously - some things just can't be outgrown - and my father's upbringing is one of them. For all the ridicule Pres. Bush took when he talked about "compassionate conservatives" I knew exactly who he meant. He was defining my father.

I could also ask, where the heck can you find a good conservative young man...anyway I guess you could say that I'm definitely a conservative gal...sometimes I think I'm too conservative for like 99% of the guys out there:(:(but really I don't even think I'm that bad.

Hey brother!
Are we talking conservative in terms of theology, traditional roles, socially, politically, modesty, and/or something else?

Try walking around with a box of dark chocolate truffles, a puppy, and a book of Renaissance poetry.

Naw, cheap and cheerful milk chocolate is the way forward :D Or Swiss chocolate... :yum: Ack, if a cow made it, it's all good.

K, I'm still strongly in favor of dark chocolate (especially caramels), but I think an assortment should cover all the bases nicely.
The puppy should be, perhaps, a 6-week old labrador. Fuzzy is important, as is waggy tail.
The Renaissance poetry is optional. That kind of thing is really going to depend on the woman. I find that I like guys who are into Star Trek and computers and revel in geekdom, but there might be some women out there who don't properly appreciate that kind of thing.

Sounds good for me. Now just need God to send me a christian man who likes sci-fi & computers bearing chocolate (dark please) & a 6 week old puppy. :)

dark chocolate definitely scores more points
oh, and babies - borrow a friend's baby. You'll always get lots and lots of attention that way (women love men who love babies). Remember Three Men and a Baby - the scene in the park was very true.

I think you'd be surprised where you might find women (or men) who have a conservative bent.
My husband and I met in Sci-fi fandom, in an EXTREMELY liberal, amoral crowd. We went along to go along, and it's not a very good chapter of my life. We were both far from God, and living sinful, selfish lives. And when we met, he probably thought I was as liberal as the others.
But we both still self-identified as Christians. We both knew that we didn't always agree with the liberal politics of our friends. It amazes us daily that God brought us together in the midst of such a liberal hotbed. But He did.
So I got the best of all possible worlds. A man who loves history, sci-fi, monster movies, and fantasy role-playing... AND who has turned back to God and become a strong leader of our family and active in our church. Yes, we have a "mixed marriage".. He's Republican and I'm not. But religiously we are both very conservative.
So I guess my advice is.. don't try to limit God. Do the things that you like, and speak up about your faith (I was the "token Christian" in my group for a long time), and God will provide a mate for you who suits His purposes for you, in His time.
