folks please, please, calm down. There is no conspiracy or angling here, Simply an administrative error.
I was being pushed to get a couple of recent successful candidates added to staff as trainees and the regular admin that does this was away so I went to an admin who doesn't do it as a rule. She inadvertently added Hentenza to the forum as well as made him a trainee.
He is being removed asap.
Other than that, all is well and every body else in place.
If peeps (anybody) would pm me and ask me first, I could get these little glitches sorted quickly without so much pain being experienced.
I am here to serve and to help. I wouldn't have had this happen for the world and I am sorry it has, truly. It was an accident and totally unintentional.

If everybody is in place, that means that Stone has already been decided on, even though we haven't finished voting, then. Would that be a correct assumption? Because I just want to be clear on this issue.

No. If that were the case, there would be pretty big reprecussions on Tishri and Jo. It is a mistake, pure and simple. If Stone is NOT voted in, he will not mod this forum. You have my word on that.
I cannot promise that we will not lose Greenie to another forum though if "they" do not do something for her soon.

No this is not the case. Perhaps we were a tad preemptive in getting him added to staff but we never expected this much reaction as we truly only had your best interests at heart.
Anna...are we not the people who would have you mod us? Did we not vote you in? Bottom line is what WE want ok?
Indeed it is.
BUT we - that is you and we, the senior staff - owe your staff a duty of care to see that they do not have too many demands placed upon them. Having three mods is not acceptable. Having only one at the moment is iniquitous. I have been the only mod in a forum and it's no joke.
You need at least six staff, more if possible, in order to ensure that each individual is not spending hours and hours online here. As I said in stone's poll thread, the required commitment for staff is a mere 4 hours per week. I would bet my bottom dollar (were I a betting person!) that Lisa spends at least 4 hours per day on here and that is simply not fair on anyone. She needs a life just like anyone else. And having two more mods will not ease the situation all that much.
I am telling you plain that you need at least 6 staff and maybe even 8 in order to have a good strong team that can actually cover the forum 24/7 without risking burn-out.
On a sidenote...I think someone needs to spank whoever made the mistake. That was a HUGE boo boo. :|

My thought is that there have been too many changes here, every one aimed at belittleing, betraying, and discouraging the conservative believer... the ones who stand on the word unmovably desptie pressures to compromise.
If any one of us were to leave it would hurt the forum and the cause we are here. We need as many of us who are likeminded as possible because we are the sore minority. We not only need to take this battle on the offensive, but we need to hold the fort too... then we need to not JUST hold the fort, but mount offensives to battle for our Lord and the purity of doctrine handed down from Christ.
Stay...

As for Tishri being listed here ... I don't think it's a problem. Add Jeff, add RobNJ, add BBAS 64. We're not a denominational specific forum. But hey, if you want to add them all to OBOB, go right ahead. They can handle reports in OBOB regardless if they're listed in the forum or not. If she's conservative ... big whoop, I say. I am partly to blame for that. I am planning to get her upgraded very shortly. It was made clear to Greenie that she was having the quiz early and I thought she was cool with that. It was explained quite clearly that I would reasses her when she had had some time on practice reports which you, Lisa, have overseen splendidly might I add.

You know fora are sensitive about mods being dropped in (let alone Admins). You know this as well as any here. I think you can see why we are upset.

The problem is the appearance of error and that is something that we all have to correct. HR needs an overhaul and that is something that we can correct.

Honestly flaglady, I agree with you. That's the way it should be...thats the way it's SUPPOSED to be. :) I started noticing these two opposites about 7 years ago myself, in a very very neutral setting...my church. Back then it was the "Law" vs "Grace". I was part of a three way conversation that I will never forget and it made an impact on me. My Pastor at the time was very legalistic and his sermons were good, but always accusing. Then there was a Sunday School teacher who was the opposite. So it made me wonder who was right...I tended to side with my Pastor because he had discipled me. Anyway...to make a long story short...this contrast has been getting bigger and bigger...affecting more and more churches of every denomination. We need to find our way to the middle of the issue because in all actuality both sides are wrong and not balanced. And now what I'm seeing on the liberal side of the camp is a free for all. There is no such thing as sin to them...eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. Gods heart is unity, and it's to that end that I am praying. Sorry to be longwinded sister. :sorry:

Honestly, there was no need for all this, If only she had pm'd me at the start I could have put her mind to rest right away. I am so sorry she's read it the wrong way - probably because of all the turmoil about Tish and stone and everyone being so upset. Now I am too....
Everything will be fine, Jo. You have done nothing wrong here. Just a silly mistake made because someone else did not read your PM correctly. It set off a landslide. Please do not worry about it. Greenie will be peachy once she gets her badge. She just didn't understand the long delay.

Please remember that another time, eh?
Also remember - I am on-line about 14 hrs a day so I'm always available - to anyone. A self-imposed burden but I love it!

Ok why all the fuss and why all the rudeness? If you dont want your mods trained faster and your newest mod relieved of some of this hard work she has had to endure say so....This thread didnt need to be made , a simple PM to me or Jo could have settled everything with out incident....
Seems the henry thing is taken care of ,and the stone thing will be as well....The PM went out to take his name back off as soon as I heard
Stone and I are here to help for a short time to provide support and training while its desperately needed and then we will be gone..it was an over site that he was added, and he knew that and I knew that and next time it would be nice to get a PM and be able to answer that before a fire is started in the forum
as far as the mod status of GM goes I see no problem with it
as far as me being on the list I believe I am
I dont plan to mod just train
Stone plans to mainly be a consensus contributer and help train as well ,offer incite and other ways to see things, and help them look for possibly different ways to tackle reports... But as for workers in the reports ,we are hoping all the new trainees coming up the ranks will work them, only they need to be supervised while they try out their talents and any extra staff in here are to help SUPPORT that while training is going on,we do not plan to make CC our new home
and yes we are all conservative
and yes I am offended by all the unkind remarks but hey I am also quick to forgive too:prayer:
Do you all really take me for someone who doesnt have you best interest at heart ALL the time 24/7 ? That hurts the most:sigh: From the time I first had dealings with this forum I have seen an almost chronic use of conspiracy thinking and mistrust , its sad to see really, my heart goes out to you but please some how please let the Lord in to fight your battles and try to learn to trust in here, trust me, I am your Admin and I have always been only for you, never against you , heck I was the one who supported this forum's existence and voted for its creation, before many of you even knew their was a thought to even start a CC forum ....please dont keep me at arm's lenghth anymore:pray:

Ok, guys. I am back to being what I am supposed to be, a trainee moderator. Two more things are still left to be worked out. Greeny needs her full badge and Stone can not be listed as a moderator for this forum until he is elected.
We are making progress. I am sure that things will be sorted out shortly.
That was what I was wondering about. I can understand the need for extra moderators until we get a full staff here -- but I find it very concerning that Administrators and SuperMods are... VIOLATING our FSBs by listing Stone as a moderator before he has been approved by our forum.
I mean if we can't even get the respect of the staff when it comes to our FSBs then how can we possibly expect members to do so???
It's got to be one way or the other -- either we have FSBs that are to be followed by ALL people staff or not, or we don't get FSBs in any sub-forum.
I also apprecaite what Tishri is trying to do -- get more help for Lisa -- but, she could've done this in a much better way than how it feels at this point... AND, I also believe that a good staff member should take that into consideration when making a pronouncement or decision that affects a forum they are not that familiar with (i.e. all the problems we've been having here over the last 2 months!!!). THAT is why moderators from other sub-forums coming here just to work reports might not be very ideal. Some situations are not clear-cut -- especially lately.
OK, I've said my piece now! Thanks for letting me rant about this.
I seriously hope GM stays on board here in the CC. I will pray for her, and I will pray for everyone involved in this mess that God will help them straighten it out -- and QUICKLY!
God bless you all & Have a good night/day!

Tishri... I'm really sorry if this is all falling on you. I know it's not something you have done on purpose. I think it's just the attitude and feelings of our group right now ARE mistrusting, and hurting because of some of the things we've had to deal with over the last few weeks... So, when you (as we all saw it) just 'Showed Up" and said "Here's your new mod" (someone we had not known before) it sort of seemed like we were being slammed yet again. I KNOW that wasn't your intention. And I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings as well. I think we all WANT to trust our staffers in other parts of the forums, but to tell you the truth the actions of one particular staffer has left a really bad taste in our mouth as of late...
Thanks for letting me explain a little -- and I would love to get to know you better as well! You seem to me like a genuinely kind person, and again I'm sorry you've kind of coincidently stepped into something that was here already and kind of festering...
I do hope you have a good night/day! :) God bless you and yours!

some of the problems this new crop of mods are having will eventually be taken care of thru counsel right now I am just trying to get them trained up to the point where they can eventually train others and believe me alot of those issues cross denominationally are being addressed in training and our teams are getting tighter and less defensive(and or aggressive by being trained this way...what you will see me do is take the new mod "live " in the reports and explain in detail how to mod using a variety of ways and how to handle a variety of situations, she will be the one pretty much exclusively to work the reports and will only be asked to follow directives and not do anything unless I ask her to, she will learn the ropes in atlot less time and the other mods on probation will still be gleaning instruction AND be learning how to train at the same time:thumbsup:...at some point I will exit to find another forum with several new mods and leave stone(by this time you will love him I know you will) and the new trainees will do their work with him still giving consensus when needed and reminding them of things they can use they may have forgotten and then after no one needs him any more he will vacate as well and follow me where ever I am at the time to do follow up there as well......

Nope. There are a couple of different steps...add to the staff team...add to the list of mods on the forum...add to the list which receives the warning PMs etc.
At various times I've been on some and not on others. A PM to OWL usually sorts things out.

Naw, dude, it was more than just this. This was just the second-to-last straw.
Why were you pmed about it, though? Am sorry for that, cos it wasn't your drama. Am sorry
Well, I'm sure glad you're going to keep posting in the forum, GM. I'm sorry you went through all of this...
I'm sorry to hear you won't be moderating this particular forum, but I understand if you think that is what's best! :)
Keep your chin up GM, as I know you to be a very kind person and you are much loved! :)

I spend more time in Support than I do here (unfortunately true), so I'm happy. :D

 Greenmunchkins...
I don't know what is going on, but I hope that no matter what... that you remain on staff. I think the support team would be wonderfully blessed to have you. but I also think the CO team will be lost without you too.
You are a blessing and a strong voice. A voice that we need now... more than most anything else.
Don't give up the good fight of faith my sis in Christ.

Thank you so much, Debbie :hug:
I don't know what'll happen yet, so gonna pray about it for a little while. Is so nice to see you here
Gonna close this now, because it's got some anger and sadness in it.
Am sorry for the trouble, everyone
