Ok, I found a link, but please just scroll down and read the comic. There is some cussing on the site. It's actually a pretty good site as far as the 25 strips he lists, but don't read his descriptions LOL.

ok....I took out the link, cuz when I went back, there was a porn ad at the top. I'm really sorry. Will keep looking. :sigh:

It won't ever come out if there is any truth to this rumor. You need a whole staff of assistants just to produce a short animated film, let alone a movie.

I could totally see Macauly Culkin being the voice of Calvin, or maybe Frankie Munoz. For Hobbes, I'd be thinking Wilford Brimley (is he still alive?) or someone else with a "grandfatherly" voice. I've always viewed Hobbes that way. Ooh...I just had a thought. Laurence Fishburn could make a great Hobbes.

Bob Saget could play the real life version of Calvin's dad if they did a live-action version. Moira Kelly might do a good job as his mom.

I love Calvin and Hobbes. I had a cat named Hobbes, and I had seriously considered a tattoo of the two of them, they were hugging.

This one reminds me of my grandson.

When he (for example) spills something I always remind him that they call them accidents for a reason. His mother's reminder is accidents happen.

In his typical style Luke has morphed our jewels of wisdom into his own jewel and now says "accidents happen for a reason."

http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/8972/ch071023gk5.gifThat reminds me of, well...ME!!

My mom left me in the car while she was in the store (smart move...I was a terror in the store!) and I actually put the car in reverse and it rolled out of the space.
^_^
I was five...

can ya find the one where Calvin says he's decided to be a fatalist, and then Hobbes trips him and says something like "too bad that was fated to happen to you"?Jim, I can tell you what book it's in and what page, but I can't find an online copy :( Tried taking photos of it, too, but they were so fuzzy it was pointless.

It's in Weirdos From Another Planet on pg 52 and it's in The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbes on pg 178. Do you have either/both? If not, will try photos again

The amazing thing about Calvin and Hobes is that even just within the little strips, it can talk about any of the seasons and you're right there.

Autumn and Winter, especially. Is wonderful. When CnH are snuggled in front of a fire with hot chocolate and it's cold outside... *happy sigh*

Say, does anyone else love and adore Bill Bryson?

Mmm...hot cocoa.

Man, I still like whoever suggested we bake some cookies for this forum.

I think cookies could stop WWIII if they were called upon to do so.

Actually, a line from one of my favorite C&H strips became something of a catch-phrase among my friends years ago. Some of us still use it.

IIRC, Calvin comes downstairs and moves past the living room toward the kitchen. His mom, sitting in the living room, thinks something's up, and asks what he's doing. "Just getting a bucket, Mom", he says, innocently. She asks him something else, and the reader notices rivulets of water beginning to trickle down the stairs behind him. He looks back, trying to get away from mom's questionig, and finishes with "So... how many buckets do we have, anyway?" still trying to be nonchalant about the pending disaster that we know about but his mom does not. Yet.

So whenever my friends want to "pretend innocence" about something, we'll say "Oh, yeah... I'm just getting a bucket..."

...so are british post offices really more than a place to get stamps and mail stuff (from Mail Room)?Sort of, yeah. You can sort out tv license and get tax disc for car, and send off for driving license and insurance, and you can have a bank account with them, and they sell cigarettes and food and toys n stuff.

But we don't get pastries. Ever :(

You do like the book so far?

No, they don't sell, like, foodfood; they sell chocolate and crisps and sweets and stuff. Oh, and most sell magazines, too.

Although, come to think of it, some people buy a post office and they have it in the corner of a grocery shop, so...

Jimminy, can we carry on a bit later? I feel very sick and am really struggling to make it sound like everything is normal. Am sorry
