PENTECOSTAL SUB-FORUM CODE OF CONDUCT
This sub-forum is designated for members of all Triune believing Pentecostal Church Denominations, as was determined by Erwin our CF Administrator: “The subforum for members of Assemblies of God and other Pentecostal churches.” This would include such denominations as The Assemblies of GOD, Church of GOD, International Pentecostal Holiness, Foursquare, UK Apostlic Faith, etc.
Ensure you read and agree to abide by all our rules and our commonly accepted doctrinal beliefs before posting in this sub-forum. The rules apply to all communications made in this sub-forum, including automatically generated sections of posts such as usernames, signatures, custom user titles, avatars, and mouseovers. Please note, none of the Code of Conduct is a change or deviation from the established Congregational rules of CF, the rules listed below are in addition to the Congregational rules that govern this sub-forum and the board as a whole, and will be used as the baseline for the member-elected staff to determine who may and may not debate and teach, based upon their adherence to these beliefs AND their determination to only hold a visable Triune Pentecostal icon and no other.
PENTECOSTAL SUB-FORUM ACCEPTED CORE BELIEFS AND DOCTRINAL STANCES
THE SCRIPTURES - The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.
THE GODHEAD - One True GOD in essence, nature, and attributes, but existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
MAN, HIS FALL, AND REDEMPTION - Though originally good, Man willingly fell to sin ushering in evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
THE DIETY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST - Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead, He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor and High Priest.
ETERNAL LIFE AND THE NEW BIRTH - All who, in repentance and faith, receive the Lord Jesus as Savior and Lord are born again.
WATER BAPTISM - Water Baptism is by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation.
COMMUNION - Communion (the Lord's Supper) is a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST - The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. The initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
THE GIFTS AND THE OFFICES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - Established by God in the Church, as recorded in the New Testament, and are for today as then.
DIVINE HEALING - Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF OUR LORD - There will be a resurrection of the just and the unjust; one to everlasting life and one to everlasting damnation. There will be a literal, physical second return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION - A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
PENTECOSTAL SUB-FORUM SPECIFIC RULES
1) No Flaming.
In addition to CF's Congregational rules, Flaming will also be defined as, but is not limited to:
- Ridiculing, insulting, or demeaning another member or group of members.
- Ridiculing another member's beliefs.
- Ridiculing public figures important to another's religious beliefs, or maliciously representing the public figures comments or actions.
- Deliberately making posts you know are untrue about any other person, whether or not that person is a member.
- Stating or implying that another member or group of members who have identified themselves as Christian are non-Christian.
- Calling or describing other people, groups, belief-systems, or ideas as heresy or a cult (or derivatives of these words).
- Asking loaded questions that directly cause flames in response.
- Using sarcasm to attempt any of the above.
- Threats of any sort.
2) No Spamming/Flooding.
In addition to CF's Congregational rules, you will not make posts that span multiple Congregational areas and sub-forums.
3) No Post Harrasment.
You will not make posts that can be considered argumentive towards the members of the Pentecostal sub-forum and their doctrinal stance. This would include links within posts to outside websites that can be considered hostile towards the Pentecostal sub-forum members and their leaders. Topics/posts such as "is the gift of tongues real?" and other similar subjects will be considered Cessationist in nature since they go against accepted Pentecostal doctrine and established Pentecostal church practices.
4) No Off-Topic
You will not 'de-rail' or 'hijack' threads by making posts unrelated to the original post or other posts in a thread.
5) No Controversial Topics Discussed in the Sub-Forum.
