Wow - those folks are way screwed up.
They are against gay male clergy - something the church has always has, and which does not invalidate the sacraments, and they are for lay celebrants, something which does.
What is the world coming to?
Now the new Covenant Church was more subtle than any other wild creature that Man had made. He said to the people, "Did God say, 'You shall be ordained to celebrate the Eucharist?”

Perhaps, but "the" church has NOT always had OPENLY Gay clergy, and certainly has not always (until recently) approved of their lifestyle. That is the issue there, lay celebrants aside.
So maybe not so screwed up after all.

I admit, I have not looked at the site (yet, no time right now), but I would like to say that the "doctrine" of lay presidency is far more damaging than the sexuality of a priest.
If this is too far off topic, please ignore this post with my apologies.

I haven't looked too deeply into the site yet either, but the lay presidency thing is simply a discussion. The site seems to have articles on all sorts of topics, and then people write in their responses to the articles. There are all different viewpoints presented. (I think).
Most of the replies to the lay presidency article seem to be against it.

Since this is an issue already addressed and decided by the Church years ago, I am not sure how much discussion we can have on the matter.

I agree with you, but the article they were discussing was one from the Sydney diocese in an AU newspaper.
