Please pray for My Aunt & her family.

My Aunt Elspeth who turns 79 on the 17th is at Home with a heavy bout of the flu. Potentially life threatening.

Her son Paul has Pneumonia and is in Hospital. He has had to have a Trachiostomy and is under sedation because he has Downs Syndrome and so is not able to be responsible for himself. He has had to be transfered to another city because the hospital in his home city can't handle a case like his. He normally lives with his mother. This illness is also potentially life threatening.

Jen my eldest cousin is Bi-polar so can't be trusted to help out. She lives in her own place.

This leaves the burdens on her sister Linda & husband Wayne. Their son Josh is also sick with a Urethra infection.

My Aunt is an active Christian but I am not sure where my cousins are faith wise.

I am praying for your whole family -- healing, comfort, strength, and salvation!!! -- and for you as well as it can be so hard when you are faced with so many things at once like this! Thank you for letting us know of your need, and please keep us updated! God bless you!

Thank for your prayers.

The lastest update was that Paul is still in Hospital but is sittng up watching movies for part of the day. They hope to send him home mid-week.

Aunt Elspeth is still bedridden but is recovering slowly.
It's their birthday (Elspeth 79, Paul 39 (I think)) On Tuesday so hopefully that will help them perk up.

I got the day wrong for their birthday. It is Monday 17th.

Had a call from my sister who had been keeping in touch with my cousin. They had gone to see my aunt to celebrate her birthday and they rang the hospital to talk with mine sick cousin and were told he had been discharged!!!! This, of course, caused great consternation. Where is he? Given that Paul has Down's Syndrome this was very concerning as he could not be expected to look after himself and he would not know where he was.

It turns out he had been transferred to a smaller closer hospital. This required him to be sedated and put on a plane to get there but there had been absolutely no contact with the family.

I'm not sure what they're going to do about that lack of consultation or contact. They can't sue because of the way the laws are here but I hope they lay a complaint.

Anyway at least he is closer to home, though the hospital is still in another city. They will be able to visit him more easily now.

Latest Up date is that my Aunt continues to recover as does my cousin.

He has been moved to a General ward and has had the Trachi removed. He is eating Jelly but not solids. He is happy now and could be moved back to his Home town Hospital later today.

Thanks for your on going prayers.

thanks for the updates; and i'm glad they are continuing to recover -- very good news indeed! does that mean paul has contact with family again now? i hope he is safely moved back to his home town

Thanks.

The Hospital he has been in is less than an hour away by car so they may have been to see him there. Hadn't heard specifically.

Still waiting to hear if he has moved back to home town.

It's good that he is still in Hospital care, and happy there because it means my Aunt can get a good rest and recuperatefully herself.

I lift all your prayer requests up to Jesus. He can do all things for those who believe. May He comfort and give strength to all.

Lord, I praise you for your healing toward robbanna55's family members. And I pray that you continue to keep them al safe and healthy. Furthermore, I pray that all these difficulties, the Down's Syndrome, Bi-polar and other physical challenges would be gone from that family in the name of Jesus. Thank you, God, for healing and saving. :amen:

Thank you for your prayers.

My Aunt has recovered enough that she has been able to go on a previously organised holiday.

My Cousin is at home at his sisters though he is still getting intravenous antibiotics each day.
