In the world but not of the world. We have been placed here for a purpose, but how many of us are living out that purpose that God has for us?

I hope I am. Today.. I talked to a friend of mine who's struggling, and I invited him to come to our youth group. He said yes :). (he's been to church once with me before, and that was to come see my baptism, but otherwise he doesn't go.) It made me happy. We talked for a while, and it was good for both of us.

Have you done anything as a Christian today?
Since "Christian" is my identity, not just something I "do," I guess everything I've "done" today is "as a Christian."
It's like asking if I've done anything as a woman today, or as a blonde today, or as a Midwesterner today. Being a Christian is the essential part of me, so it is impossible for me to do anything any other way, but "as a Christian."

Actually, I just woke up about 80 minutes ago, but have already done something only a Christian would do - pray. :D
Actually, the first thing (well, sorda the first thing) that I did when I got on the computer was go to theprayerroom.com (http://www.theprayerroom.com). It really is a great thing to start the morning by praying for others :)
Droobie - thank you for your God-centered polls, they always remind me of what should be the priority in our lives. God bless you for this. :)

When I was insulted by some people, I showed them as much love and understanding as I could, and asked God to bless them always...
1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
This particular passage has been ringing in my ears since I heard it, and I've quoted it before. I think back on all the ways I handled insult in my past, and boy did I handle it wrong.. I'm glad to walk in His Word now :D It is such a better way.
God bless!

I read His Word today. Some from Psalms, some from Proverbs in addition to my morning devotional. I had a chance to fellowship at work today. I didn't witness to the lost, except through my walk. I hope my walk is acceptable to God. :)

Some of these replys disturb me a little bit. As Christians, everything that we do should be done as a Christian. There is no such thing as a part-time Christian. It is our responcibility to give our lives as a living sacrifice to God each day so that He can use us to fulfill His plan in our lives. If this is how we live our lives, than everything we do will be as a Christian. Granted we will slip and try to follow our own path at times. We are humans and we are sinful, but our goal as Christians is to point to God in all that we do. It is not praying a prayer or doing a kind act that makes us a Christian, but rather, those things will flow naturally from a heart filled with God. As Christians, all that we do will point to our Heavenly Father.

Er, well, today I went to school, I did a Test at school, I practiced a school play, I sang in our vocal ensemble and our vocal quartet, I played an hour or so of the piano, I read the paper, I chatted to my girlfriend, I went and saw a movie - The Bourne Supremacy, I didn't like it all that much - I finished some school work, I went for a jog in the rain, I returned a borrowed CD to a friend and gave him a couple of interesting newspaper articles about the Greens party here in Australia (don't get me started on them), I made a move in an internet chess game.... where am I going with all this? I did it all as a Christian!
If tomorrow I went and told a lie so I could get away with stealing a car, I'd be doing it as a Christian... I sin as a Christian. I'm a Christian, so whatever I do, I do as a Christian..... *confused* I think I understand the point of the thread though, and if it means did I do any "Christian acts" - well, yes, I did all of that mentioned above (except telling a lie and stealing a car). "Whatsoever ye do..." we all know the verse. That's my opinion on a "Christian act".

Yes!!!
Everything I do - I do as a Christian! We have no choice in that, as a Christian, WHATEVER WE do others judge Christ and Christianity BY what we do!
What we have to say is NOT what most people go by. TOO much emphasis is put on various outreach methods and techniques BUT most people don't go by the words, they go by our actions.
This is a much harder way of looking at things! We need to LIVE our faith NOT Talk it. :preach: :)

Yes.
I had a Bible study this morning. Shared a bit about Jesus with my boyfriend who is not Christian. I prayed to Jesus about many things. I kept a positive attitude and happy demeanor and have acted out of love in everyway I could so far.
THANK YOU GOD!

Well, for me I am a christian and therfore everything I do is as a christian. However to answer your question directly I repented.
I woke up late, took a shower grabbed my breakfast on the go and drove to the ministry I work with, we have been gathinering for prayer before work......I got here and noboy else was there... prayer had been cancelled! ...so I sat down a bit annoyed at not being told and the rush I had gone through to get here on time.....
So I walked into the office and repented to God for my bad attitude and for not getting up early enough too spend time alone with Him before the day started. Then I found a quiet nook to hang in and started my day all over again, this time with God.

I put no because I haven't witnessed to anyone and I haven't pray either, which is sad. I'm pregnant and morning sickness is pretty much all I'm thinking about these days but to think about it yes I have. I told my kids how much I love them this morning. I also told my husband. And I ran into someone this morning that has been, in the past, extremely mean to me, and I bit my tongue, pretty much in two. If I wasn't a christian, being the type of person I am, I probably would have lain into her. I guess I can't say I did't something as a christian but rather being a christian kept me from doing something bad.
