Please take the time to vote in the Wiki Discussion regarding Pentagrams acceptable here?

I do not know how to paste the link maybe someone else can?

Honestly this is no joke, this started as a discussion and no kidding 100' + posts later was turned into a poll. Thank God!!

:sigh: I can't believe this is actually an issue? Are we going to have to vote about everything that should be inappropriate for a Christian site? Although I guess this site is not Christian anymore, eh? :(

Heh, I wondered why so many wonderful CCs were voting in that poll.:hug:

I guess some people reason it's got other connotations, but when you see a pentagram, the first thing you think of is Satanism and wicca, for sure. So it can't be allowed here.

Yes,
I know it is sad!!

How can we get this known into the other congregations? I know I have seen it done, but it is usually by a Mod? Anna? Lisa? Jim??? :)

I would like to share my thoughts on this further.

I know the sign of the pentagram is not only used for satanic purposes, and I hear what the others are saying regarding this fact. They propose only for Christian use, and if used in a satanic way it would not be allowed. I hear this, good idea.. in theory. I just don't think the can of worms that will be opened with this is being takin into consideration. If Christians use this to represent their faith, then what will happen when a wiccan wants to show one to represent theirs? Its an 'opened board now why cant a wiccan do it'? I just see this in the future of becoming another way of bending ones ideas into being okay. I pray this will not happen, I know God will see this through, but honestly... I just don't think all that could happen down the road is being thought out.

Sorry If this seems like a rant, or me just jumping to paranoia (didnt intend for it to) I wanted to share, how I felt.:sorry:

If you see where I may be taking this to far, let me know, I welcome feed back, for understanding. Thank you,

Your Sister, In Christ.
Nicki

I wish I could be optimistic that the no's winning would matter, but I don't have that in me anymore. I don't know what bothers me more...that there even needs to be a vote on this, or those who are arguing that it doesn't "necessarily" mean satanism. The symbol may have other meanings, but I am tired of people thinking they can bring up obscure references and pretend that "most" people think that is what it means.

Does anyone else ever have those moments where someone is trying to use an argument like that, and it is so obvious to you that you think you may actually be nuts? I have been having those moments a lot lately. Those "have I crossed into some strange parallel universe" moments? Am I the only one having these moments?
