The God of Love
As we think of the lives that are lost
Regarded as nothing at all
The heartache and agony of those that are left
The devastation of the fall
The children left without a Mum
To embrace them when they cry
The many alone without a daddy
To tuck them in bed at night
The parents also left to grieve
For the children they have lost
Husbands and wives also weep
Paying an unbelievable cost
There is hope, a glimpse of light
Amidst these darkened days
Our Lord Jesus who loves us so much
And hears when we kneel to pray
He can bring healing to the hurting heart
And comfort to those who weep
He is the strength that we can receive
For His love is ever so deep
Still we’re left wondering how this happened
And why all this needless grief
So many questions remain unanswered
We just need to have faith and believe
That our loving God is still in control
Though the remnants of terror remain
The broken lives and shattered dreams
The unspoken anguish and pain
He knows full well how we are feeling
He identifies grief with us
We can be sure that He loves us so
For He is a God of love.
Debi, I am praying for you and for all the families who lost a loved one on this tragic day. :prayer: :groupray:

2001 was some year. I lost my husband in April and then couldn't move out of his house on Sept. 11th because my moving van was frozen in traffic in NYC. Watched the whole nightmare on FoxNews.
To all who lost someone on that horrible day, may God comfort and console you in your grief. We love you and are there for you.

CIH I know it was some year I lost my Father on January 16th of that year also and then my Aunt Donna, his sister, on Spt 11 in the same year so we were hurting. It was an overwhelming year for my family.
In the years since I have lost both of my Uncles on my mother's side of the family too. the latest was last year about this time, and then two yrs before that my other uncle and both of them in their 50's ... One died of a heart attack and the other cancer. So my family has had to deal with so much loss in a relatively short amount of time.
I am so sorry to hear about your husband and his loss to you because i do not know what I would do if I lost my husband. Besides my mother, Aunt Marie and my brother, he and his family are all I have left. I have become so close to them they are as if I have been with them all my life. My husband is so loving and now I know why God made me wait so long to find him because he is as perfect a any human being can get for me. I can't even imagine the pain that would ensue if I lost him. So for your loss please know you are in my prayers.
Lovingly In Christ

I'm so sorry for your loss, Debi. That day was so very tragic. I had no "direct" contact with anyone from the event, but it changed our lives in so many ways. My husband had already been a Marine for 7 years by then, and it had been your basic military life at that point. He went away a lot, but I never really worried. It was your basic day to day. He has done two combat tours since that day.
It hurts me to think about that day. I still can't watch any of the news "specials" about it. I haven't seen any of the movies. It still seems too fresh for me. I can't imagine how it must be for you. I do pray for the victims of that day, and for all affected since then.
