I hadn't noticed that before. What is that all about? I'm definately not "Non-Nicene".

i just checked the staff page for foru.ms and that is the descriptive phrase being used for our whole team.
i haven't checked yet, but chances are that everyone on Ecumenical is now sporting that phrase.
ps. just as i suspected--we all have the same label.

Well, why didn't they just give us our specific Congregations, instead. Maybe, they are working on it...

Why do they say Non-Nicene? That's dreadfully misleading...

I, too, would prefer that for those of us who have been elected by our own specific congregations!

Not as badly as I was expcting. The Christian Forums are clearly marked. The "Non-Nicene Faiths" is moved way down clearly away from the Christian area. I thought it was a pretty good compromise.

Yeah, I know. I was saying instead of saying that, it ought to put the forum(s) we are modding for.

What is the reason it is even there? It serves no purpose that I can tell. We're already identified as part of the Ecumenical Team. Is there another discussion about this somewhere, where we can talk about chaning or removing it?

Did everyone get a PM from MNPhysicist? Do you think that has anything to do with this?

Yeah, I went back and looked at it again. I think he PM'd me and some other folks because we had asked him to take a look at some of our rules in CCC. He just said that more announcements were coming.

Does it not mean Congregation (AND) Non-Nicene Congregations. Aren't some of our forums non-Nicene? (Can't remember which!)

the problem with this definition of the forums we moderate is that it would offend both camps to be labled as such.
those who are Nicean would object to being refered to as non-Nicean. those who are non-Nicean would find implied prejudice at being labled as such, and being labled for what they are not, rather than for what they are.

I think that is what it is supposed to mean, and I believe it should be stated that way, if it is stated at all.
