Staffers have you noticed you spend much more time in PMs these days? PMs are our friends and its just a fact that we will be spending alot more time reading and writing PMs as well but here is a plus:thumbsup::
We have to send out less PMs to members in reports if we just link to the report when we contact them the first time for an RFE or what ever....we use to go back and forth several times with them when reports were hidden from their view, now we can chat with them there right in the report and that saves on PMs:thumbsup:
As far as staff goes though we should always PM staff when we have a question or concern about anything staff related or PM our forum team about anything team related...I know for me I dont always get over here to check this area and if a new thread goes up I wont see it till I happen by and then it may be to late to address the concern or a question may be answered by the wrong person(s) and that can turn out be an even bigger issue by the time the person with the answers comes along and sees it....
If you must make a thread to get answers because you dont know who to talk to about it, then at least PM the obvious people at the same time ok and give them a link to your thread but in all honesty if you ask a few folks around here in PM the answer will come sooner I bet:thumbsup:
here is a key
(Especially for new Mods or newer Mods in general)
Any issues with members in a specific forum ....ask that teams Mods and Sups (especially if its your own forum)
any issues with Mods .....Ask that teams Sups, and CC me
any issues with Sups.....Ask me
If you think you still need to start a thread then PM the appropriate folks to look at the thread, but if its a concern about a person or team of people it should be done thru PM to keep our unity intact:groupray: ...nothing hurts more than having your team start a thread about you and I have done that before and it stinks when ever I even need to do that (you wont find me doing that except in rare cases and I think I speak for all the Sups here as well, we would rather not do that if we dont have to:wave:)
If the issue involves training or elections PM Flaglady, and CC me
If the issue is a report that your team needs more help with PM your Sup and ask if they can come in with more eyes if needed
Thread worthy....
If the issue is site related make a thread and if its an urgent question PM lots of people to come look (like all the sups as they will PM their teams as well if it needs to be attended toASAP)
If the Issue is about our congregational area in general then make a thread as well and PM folks to come see if you wish:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I just dont want our area here to become divided by issues that need to be addressed thru PM, and I dont want you to have to sit on important questions when the answer could be one PM away:hug::hug::hug::hug::wave:
