View Full Version : Urgent! Prayer Needed

I woke up this afternoon and checked my email to see if my mom sent anything to me... and sure enough she did

[Hadssah],

I just wanted you to know that today your Dad and Turtle [nickname for my sister's husband] were both laid off of their jobs. I don't want to upset you. Somehow it will all work out.

They are going to give them a severance pay...........after they return the notorized statement saying that they accept the terms and will not sue.

There were 4 or 5 others let go of that I know of. The company was bought out 2 months ago and they were told there would be no changes until after the new year..................maybe they are Jewish> LOL< isn't Rosh Hashana soon? Or is it Chinese New Year?

Dad is pretty upset as you can imagine and so is Turtle, but please just pray that we know what to do. Beth [my sister] will lose insurance coverage at the end of the month. (We have tricare so we aren't concerned with that point.)

I will talk with Dr.K when Mom [dad's step mom] goes for her appt. on Monday to see if he thinks your dad should go ahead and start trying to claim for diability............Not that we want to, but your dad will have a hard time finding a job to accomodate his health issues.

Love you,
Mom

For those of you who do not know, my dad is just before being diagnosed with Lupus or Fibromyalgia, the doctor is not sure what he has. He is allergic chemically to most vegetables, all peppers and spices and can only have salt that has not had anything done to it.

Dad is allergic to corn, which means he is allergic to gasoline, paper... etc. He cannot touch people or things - has to wear gloves all the time. People being sick around him, he gets sick.

Apparently this was triggered two years ago during Sukkot when he and my mom came down with Mononucleosis due to a coworker who has epstein-barr coming into work when he had a bad flare up. :(

His job has been looking for ways to get rid of him since all these problems.

I sent the prayer request to my congregation, because I know there are folks there who know my family and also have job openings at various times...

I don't know how my sister is going to take this, as their house is in the middle of being re-roofed and had been rained into and ruined, and they are trying to repair it with more hurricanes predicted on the way, which brings loads of rain to our state. :(

Also, without health care insurance and her C.D. being worse than mine, it can be very dangerous, as a health insurance may not want to pick her up with 'pre existing conditions'.

I'm here and can't do anything that I haven't already done. All I can think is that atleast my dad's step mom has a job... for now.. and mom when she doesn't have bad fibro flares can cook and sell her breads, cookies and cakes for some $$ under the table..

They are still paying off the house... and jobs are scarce this time of year in Alabama... We need a miracle.

Get him to have a thorough detox program. Start with an intestinal w/parasite detox, then a liver/gallbladder detox. Then a blood stream detox, then a lymphatic cleanse. Finally the cell cleanse, and antioxident boost. This will take a few months, do one at a time, one right after the other.

Ps 51:7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Oh, praying Hadassah! :prayer: Praying also for your peace. :prayer:

LK 12:22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. [23] Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. [24] Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! [25] Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? [26] Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
LK 12:27 "Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. [28] If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! [29] And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. [30] For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. [31] But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

You know these are promises from our Father to care for us!

You don't need prayers. You need a good Jewish lawyer. He was laid off because of the health issues, which is quite illegal.

Alabama is a 'no fault' state and we can't prove they fired him due to that (though we know they did), they did everything to cover their rears and more, citing to him in write ups that he was being unreasonable in his requests for working half at home and half at the office... among other things saying he had an "attitude" and didn't work well with others / doesn't have 'team spirit' (which I have to ROFL at - 20 years military you got all of that and then some and you don't show attitude to superiors. you wait to go home to do that).

They said his position was made redundant with the new company. They need only two tech people. Also, one thing they look for in hiring people (and will refuse hiring on) is if you have sued a former employer.

For now, he will talk with the doctor about filing for disability.

My BIL has taken up full time at Dominoes (he was working two or three nights only) and my sister is looking everywhere for something.

Mom is basically on bedrest due to a bad fibro flare that is just starting to get a bit better. From what she said, they're on the military healthcare so it won't be an issue her having surgery.

I asked mom if she could get in touch with the lawyer that helped us before with my car accidents and the one my brother had, and he is apparently out of town.. but from what we are finding out, this is not so 'weird' for Alabama when companies change hands because people apparently go 'berzerk' and do harm to company goods or the personnel... so they forstall it by these preps.

Dad's personal belongings will be gone through (like his thumb drive), then boxed and returned to him. Same for my BIL.

BIL's position was made redundant because the new company will not be surveying in Arkansas, and he was the lone reporter for that state. (duh, move him to another state for reporting!)

They did this to other positions as well.

Reminds me of the movie 'Office Space' and two other jobs I had before... They'll make a position redundant, let you know you are fired on a Friday, if you are lucky box up your things and send you on your way with no more than a 'good luck' and a swift kick.

Its odd they can do that. I guess one assurance is that here they have to give 6 months severance and help you secure a new job. :sorry:

vis: Dad is allergic to the Salycalites and sulfites in all vegetables and fruits.. in addition to the corn allergy and regular seasonal allergies.

OK just talking to my mom on Gtalk..

My granny works at the local DQ and came home last night from work with a story..

Mom:

You will never guess what happened to mom last night at work
this family came in with 3 little girls.

I think that the oldest of them was 7. She was picking at them and told them that she needed one of them to come home with her to wash dishes. They replied, oh we can't do that.

The family finished eating and left the bldg.

Mom was at the ice cream counter to get someone else's treats
and she felt a tap on her shoulder..........it was the mother. She said, "my husband said that God told him to give you this."
Mom said, "oh that's not necessary". The woman said, "yes, God told him to give you this." She handed Mom a folded bill and mom said "well thank you and God bless" later after she had time to unfold it, it was $100 bill!

Mom: She gave it to us...............to 'help out'..............I told her to use it on getting new tires, but she refuses and said, you was just passing on what the Lord had given

I think it's wonderful that "Mom" listened to and obeyed God about the $100. This is just what George Muller did. He started orphanages and schools in Bristol England during the Industrial Revolution (which left children in the dust :( ) and relied on God for his and the schools' needs. And God never failed him!
