I KNOW I have seen a list of Eastern Orthodox patron saints. I'm looking especially for the patron saint of biologists or, if that is too specific, the patron saint of scientists.

Anyone have such a list bookmarked?

I'd be interested to see this, because I've always been told that this is a Roman Catholic thing...

No, it's not an RC thing. I know we have St. Nektarios who intercedes for cancer sufferers, and St. Nicholas, patron saint of sailors, children, etc...and most cities in Orthodox countries have patron saints.

yes, I agree but I do not have a bookmark for it unfortunately. I know that for doctors are St. Kosmas and Damien... but scientists... do not know. I am sure someone will pos tthe link soon. I will have to check back again.

I think I saw something like that in one of my icon books. Let me take a look tomorrow afternoon and see what I can find.

Maybe St. Pavel Florensky?
