Hello Steve, you wrote:

It is really unfortunate that we even have to ask 'Who is Israel.' Regardless of how Paul or anyone else tries to spiritualize it, Israel are the descendants of Jacob and anyone who has converted to Judaism.

Paul wrote the words of G-d. It is he that said not everyone from Israel is Israel. He is the one that said it is not Abraham's descendents that are the children of G-d, but only those who are of the faith of Abraham - those who believe in Yeshua. It is He that said earthly Jerusalem do not inherit the promises. It is Paul that said he would be willing to be cut off from Christ so that his "kinsmen according to the flesh" would be saved. After saying that, he would not turn around and say they would all be saved. He said that the remnant would be saved - this remnant is spiritual Israel. As it is written, "Unless G-d would have left us a remnant, we would have become as Sodom," and "Even though the number of Israelites be as the sand of the sea, only the REMNANT will be saved." Yes, there are many Israelites, but only a small number of them will come to Yeshua.

Paul said once, "Consider Israel according to the flesh." He also said, "kinsmen according to the flesh." Why? Because there is also an Israel according to the Spirit, those born of the Spirit, those born of the Jerusalem from above. There is also a difference between Paul's fleshly kinsmen and his spiritual kinsmen - those in Christ.

Being born again has nothing to do with whether one is a Jew or Gentile. It is a spiritual truth. That is why there is no "Jewish Bible" or "Roman Bible" or "Gentile Church" or "Jewish Church."

What covenent came first - the Mosaic or the Abrahamic? The Law, or the Faith? Paul says that the Abrahamic Covenent was not made with many people, but with one - the Seed - Jesus Christ. He then said that if you are in Christ, you are the Seed. The fact is, the church came first, G-d thought of the church first, because his Son always comes first, and those that love the Son will be magnified over all.

As Yeshua said, "I know there is no place in your heart for my word," and "Why can you not understand me? Because you do not belong to G-d." Also, "If you knew my Father, you would know me."

As John says, "He who loves the Father must love His Son as well." and "Who is the liar? The one that denies the Son, this is the liar and the antiChrist."

But greater is He in the church that those in the worlld, who belong to the god of this world, satan. And you shall lick the dust at our feet and acknowledge that Yeshua has loves His church, His congregation, that He built on Kefa.

Nice job of paraphrasing. Btw, where do the first two quotes come from?

As John says, "He who loves the Father must love His Son as well." and "Who is the liar? The one that denies the Son, this is the liar and the antiChrist."

Well... you know what they say about the Gospel of John and gnosticism...

But greater is He in the church that those in the worlld, who belong to the god of this world, satan.

You do realize that this is taken from the gnostic consideration of the good above and the evil below, correct?

And you shall lick the dust at our feet

ROTFLMAOOL!!! Lick?!!! :D

I love it.

and acknowledge that Yeshua has loves His church, His congregation, that He built on Kefa.

Do you people read the New Testament? Did not Yeshua say that He was building His church on Peter, the leader of the church? I didn't say Peter was the first Pope or anything. He said He was building His church on Peter. Peter was the leader.

That is where you went spiritually... with the "Peter route"... Peter would be shocked to learn that this was ever taken this way and to the extent that it was.

Peter had the power to command a death, and it happened...he had the power to forgive sins..he commanded the Jerusalem Council.

The man was the leader of all the apostles.

Peter stayed a Jew just like Yeshua and lived in the Jewish faith. Even the Jerusalem Council was for the purpose of allowing and helping the gentiles to be a part of the Jewish faith, Yeshua style.

Of course, you cannot change your blood line, but please remember that Paul accused Peter of living like a Gentile when he rebuked him for bowing to the Judaizers.

nasa There are orthodox jews and there are biblical jews. Biblical jews are able to fellowship with gentiles, orthodox can't. Paul accusation had more to do with removing the orthodox traditions of thinking gentiles were unclean, and the stigma for fellowship with them. Judaizers were putting the walls up, and Paul was taking them down. It still is all jewish. Paul is not advocating pagan gentile style anything.
