Ah, quick question!

Sometimes I hear refererence of non trinitarian messianics or Jews.

I understand these are non nicene believers.

On non trinitarian messianics, does that mean they don't believe the Holy Spirit is part of the trinity? If so, how I wonder how they deal with the verse on Annanias and Sapphira? (lied to the Holy Spirit, lied to God)

On non trinitarian Jews, I heard first reference to this tonight, never heard the term before. Do you know what one means by such? I thought the person just made the mistake and said Jews instead of Messianics, but not sure.

I understand that this forum is trinitarian messianics, but just have wondered about the first for a long time, and now the 2nd one came up tonight, and be good to know what exactly these two do or don't believe about God and are their combinations, meaning even one might mean two differnt things?

Thanks so much..

I was just meaning to say hello and love, but figured I would ask this while I'm here!

Thanks,
tapero:hug:

It means we accept those who profess that Yeshua is the Messiah who either don't have a strictly orthodox "trinitarian" understanding in the Nicene Christian sense, or they even don't believe that Yeshua is G-d. What the Nicene Christians would call sundry "Arian heretics." This is far more common among the Jews in MJ, than among the gentiles who attach themselves.

For that matter, we also welcome rabbinical Jews who don't believe in Yeshua at all. At my synagogue, one married couple I am friends with is a gentile Christian woman and rabbinical Jewish man. For a long time in their marriage, they could not worship together. She went to protestant churches and he stayed home and went no where because he wouldn't attend anyplace but a synagogue. First time they came together, he just cried, and the Rabbi talked to him for a long time. It hasn't been easy for her either, adjusting to a Jewish community. But they are both now happier than they've ever been.

And no, this forum is not "Trinitarian Messianics." We have non-trinitarians here in the forum. We also have rabbinical Jews here.

You see, everyone, THIS is why it is a mistake to have our forum inside the Christian area. Everyone assumes we are Nicene.

ah, I haven't been here since before 777 where back then non trinitarian messianics could fellowship but they could not have a 'christian icon' as didn't agree to nicene creed.

I'm glad that has changed.

Ok, so let me see if I have this staight.

A non trinitarian messianc or jew is sort of the same term? (although can be gentle or Jewish, there is some part of the trinity they don't believe exists or is not God.)

A non trinitarian messianic or Jew may not believe Jesus is God?

I do recall from way back one non trinitarian messianic who stopped being a staff member on her own, due to the nicene creed re the Holy Spirit. That was when we had to agree to nicene creed in christian only section and her leaving was a long time ago.

So it appears that those who are non trinitarian have variations in what they feel is non trinitarian about God.

See all along, ever since I heard of the one above, I always thought it pertained only to the Holy Spirit, the being non trinitarian.

But I think you're saying there are variations.

I minister to non christians, and sometimes muslims will ask questions, which they are more familiar with terminology about Jewish people or messianics than I am, as I said, was thrown when he said Jewish non trinitarians, which I never heard of before.

So probably, while talking with that person, I should ask him to describe exactly what he's talking about as it appears can't label all into one categogy, same as christians. I think that's where I'm getting mixed up.

I'm so glad about that couple. What a great story to hear!

Thank you so much!
