The original Greek word here translated "on," is "en." This Greek word "en" is consistently translated throughout the Revelation elsewhere as "in" or "INTO."
In spirit-IN VISION-John was projected into the future. INTO the "DAY OF THE LORD," foretold in more than 30 places in prophecy, which is the Lord's Day, the time of His judgments and plagues soon now to come.
The Weymouth translation has it: "In the Spirit, I found myself present on the Day of the Lord." The Concordant Version, same as Rotherham's, translates it: "I came to be, in spirit, IN the Lord's Day." The Bullinger translation: "I came to be, by the spirit, IN the Lord's Day."
John, actually on the isle of Patmos, appeared to be, in vision in the time of the "Day of the Lord," now soon to come Just as Ezekiel (Ezek. 8:3) said, "the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem." And so the THEME of The Revelation is the events of the DAY OF THE LORD," climaxing in the Second Coming of Christ.
If we view Revelation in this manner, then all that shall come to pass when the seven seals have been opened will be rapid ones. There is no time line longer than the 3 1/2 years... we have five months... 10 days...

No way, vis. Sorry to say that, but it's an error that someone may have taught you.
The preposition "en" is only ever to denote a fixed position, prepositionally speaking. The word denoting "into" is "eis"- which is not here
By translating it as "into" one is changing the correct usage of the word in Koine. It is used not only as "in", but also as "on", "by" and "with". When used in this case here, it is used to refer to a fixed or static locale. It cannot be used as "into" here because into is not a preposition to denote static position.
The best, literal, translation of that verse into English, following all the proper grammar, would read:
"I came to be in the Spirit on the Lord's day"

i had a problem with this verse, and I took it up with William Whelty, chief editor for the International Standard Version.
Here is his response,

or visit http://isv.org (no www) and download a very up to date bible (not fully finished yet though).
The good thing I like about them, is if you have a question re: the way they have translated something, you can email them and actually get a response all of the time.

The ISV translates Revelation 1:10 as "I came to be in the Spirit on the Day of the Lord...
Now when it came to the phrase ἐν τῇ κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ, it seemed to us that this phrase needs to be translated as "Day of the Lord," because the subject matter of the book is the Day of the Lord as understood in OT eschatology but completed with respect to the NT addition of "the revelation of Jesus the Messiah, which God gave him to show his servants" (Revelation 1:1). http://isv.org/catacombs/day_of_the_Lord.htmVery good... It has always been my understanding, not so much from others but from personal conviction by the Lord when studying with Him.
As loud as a trumpet: the imagery is derived from God's big time visit at Sinai
Exodus 19:16 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.
It is the Big DAY.
Hebrews 12:19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: Can you not picture that day?
Isaiah 27:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; Have you ever wondered how many days is the DAY OF THE LORD?
Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with F46 a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Have you figured out what all happens on that DAY OF THE LORD?
1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. There is so much going on, it takes the Book of Revelation go show it all. Would you think that all the Fall feasts are the DAY OF THE LORD? 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: These verse I have chosen are the usual favorites.

Help ! - Concerning the prophetic day, so called in at least 30 places, and referred to in 300 similar terms, the Jews of course know better than anyone else (as if anyone else can know) the Scripture, because Yhwh entrusted to them (under His care) the Scripture, not to mention all in all tradition and language and meanings immersed in Jewishness.
Well, I was (in Yhwh's Sovereignty) raised very Lutheran (which thread I get in trouble in, or rather make no progress in).
In those things in which Lutheran(s) agree with Scripture, fine and well,
but so very much they cling to
because they were taught it all along by whatever synod they long to be/stay in, [the prophetic day, the Lord's day; as if it were pagan worship day]
and so very very much else is still held over from the antichrist teachings doctrines and traditions
that Martin Luther himself ('founder' of Lutheran) sought freedom/escape from ---
Oy ! ..... it took me up to 30 years deliverance by Yhwh and I was willing (not stubborn) to learn the Truth -- is there any hope for someone who is not willing ?
Is there anyone willing ?
