Hi,
I am a 'stranger' to Israel, I believe in Jesus/Yeshua as the messiah, annointed king, christ, of Israel, the prophesied one king come to re-unite the Jews with the lost house of Israel ... this after all is what he says in scripture :-
Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
The obvious question is why was he sent by God to teh House of Israel, not to the Jews [house of Judah] ? and the answer may be in this scripture, which Paul repeats in the NT :-
Deuteronomy 32:21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
The irony for MJ is that christianity is not for most part the religion of Jews , and the implication here is that it is that a remnant of the LOST house of Israel, who will emerge from the gentiles, will amke the Jews 'jealous' with knowledge of their long-awaited messiah ...
This then is what moves me to be here, I think that there is a 'messianic' message to the Jews which WILL be heard by a few , those Jews who work 'but one hour' in the vineyard for a full days 'pay' of salvation at Jesus' return ...
The problem as always with mankind's religion is that men cannot agree on what is written, despite that the saints assure us that it is NOT of ANY private interpretation .. we know that christianity and Judaism alike are DIVIDED right down to personal individual beliefs, which shows that much called belief MUST logically be false [since there is but one truth of God which MUST be consistent with ALL scripture IF it is the inspired word of God.. [as I belieev it originally was ]
The point then is that there are very real signs that much has been carried across into MJ from christianity and Judaism WITHOUT reproof to ALL the scruipture of God...
This then I think a worthy task, to WORK in congregation and fellowship at REPROOF of belief in MJ ... it mission then is truly scriptural if my reading of the above scripture be true , but its opponent is wily beyond the wits of most men ... thus it is far from clear to em if this congregation can measure up to what God requires in scripture ...
As for being a 'Jew' , I am circumcised [as my family always has been] but have no awareness of being a 'Jew'... but i think the scripture very clearly shows that the LOST House of Israel have been living amongst gentiles for millenia now WITHOUT JUDAISM , so the criterion of 'being a Jew' is something unclear in itself, but also there are MANY of children of Israel from the lost house of Israel who were never Jews , never accepted Judaism, lived as gentiles all their lives, but are TRULY descendants of Jacob and thus of course potentially heirs of the promise by descent in Israel , but not as a Jew...
Thus the reoproof to scripture rather significantly affects the STRUCTURE of this forum, and in partcular thsi area of it ... [would I could convince Erwin that scripture AS A WHOLE singlke truth is a better basis for defining 'christianity' than any number of DIVIDED creeds, most [or all!] of which must be wrong because there is but one truth of God GIVEN IN SPIRIT BAPTISM [John 16:13] by PROMISE of the messiah !
