Where are the Jewish "Church Fathers"? (http://www.christianforums.com/showthread.php?p=1086094)

I started this in the IDD forum in hopes of finding some information, instead i have found derision, and claims that most of the church fathers were Jewish, yet I guess these were the same ones that denied anything and everything that was Jewish, to accusations that Messianic Jews teach that there are two churches.

Perhaps someone with any knowledge in this area could help, on the thread and also with my search. It seems that all the sites I find relating to the early "church fathers" is a Catholic run or connected site.

Any help would be appreciated.

Shalom !

NOTE: This thread is for Messianic Believers and Jewish believers only. If you would like to add to the discussion you may do so in the thread in IDD (see link above).

Thank you. :)

Sabian can you be a little more clear? Who is it written by? Have you read it? What do you think about it?

This might not have what you are looking for but it is one of the best books on the early church.

You have to understand that the Romans distroied (99%) of all Jewish writings.

Ecclesiastical History is a good one too

Thanks Sabian

:( They are now claiming that if one is Jewish and then believes in Messiah he ceases to be Jewish. Oy!

SonWorshipper,

Sabian is correct in that J. B. Lightfoot is one of the most well known scholars concerning the formation of the 'early ch-rch'.

I've got a set of his books, and I've used them for a good number of years.
