Apart from saying 'grace' at the table before meals, does your family get together for a time of prayer or devotional. (Excluding church services/events)

No. We don't even say "grace" before meals. Most of the time we don't even eat together. But it's just my mom and me and I have a busy schedule. I think the only time we actually pray together and all that is at church. Now that you made that thread, it's kinda sad to see that about my mom and me. Oh well. It's ok. We still go to church together.

My mom and her boyfriend live together and they're not religious. I've tried to get them into Christianity and fallow the Lords way. But they just call me a lier after I show proof. So I just have time to myself with God.

we have never done family devotionals at my house, and my parents are Christian.

My family says grace togather when we have dinner. We don't have a daily devotion but I feel that we should start. I do pray with my boys when I feel that they need to go to God with a problem be it personal, emtional, physical, or any other type of problem.:)

My family members are either free thinkers or buddhists...so we don't say grace together. How I wish miracle will happen one day and all of us put our trusts in the Lord.

Hugs to you (((((Dyfed)))). I am sorry for the death of your husband. May your husband rest in peace. I do hope you find much comfort from friends and family. I found this scripture for you in Song of Solomon. I hope it brings comfort. :)

Song of Solomon 6:2,3

My beloved has gone to his garden,
To the beds of spices,
To feed his flock in the gardens,
And to gather lilies.
I am my beloved's,
And my beloved is mine.
He feeds his flock among the lilies

It used to be a part of our morning routine. But we kinda lost that. Apart from saying grace together (we rarely eat together though), we don't pray as a family. But when I start my own family, we're going to have prayer and devotion times together every day.

My family doesn't connect well, and we hardly ever pray together. We hardly even say grace together.

I voted rarely. My family rarely prays together and that's including saying grace. The only time we ever say grace is on holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We also say grace some other times but it is extremely rare. Then the only other time we say grace would be on the rare occasion that we go to church together. However, I don't often go to church with my Mom. I live on my own and she is Pentecostal. I don't believe in Pentecostal doctrine so I tend to stay away from Pentecostal churches.

My entire family are christians, yet the only time I ever pray with them is meal times. It is hard for me to get in the habit of spending time with God and praying because I seen to be the only one who trys to make it a priority.

We used to homeschool and we had devotions daily. We worshipped, read the word, shared what the Lord was saying to each of us and prayed for ppl we knew. Now we don't do anything together. Hardly even eat together. I'm tired and they are not interested. In some strange fashion, this is going to work for good. Can't imagine how...but it will.

We always say grace, and do pray together, when we can get everyone together. This is something we are working on to change to a daily thing.

I sorrowfully admit my husband and I do not pray or study together as much as we should. I use my health issues (Lupus, Grave's Disease, Hashimoto's Disease) as an excuse sometimes as the diseases are dibilitating and I am often tired beyond description.

But I know I could spend at least a few minutes in prayer each night with my husband. It is something I need to change in my life.
