Whoopsy lol

Actually, I'd rather them just remove the pregnacy clause all together and just allow those who have reached a certian age to marry with parental consent.

While the idea might not appeal to some it is only very recent in history for people to be marrying in their 20's, 30's, or even older unless it was because you were a widdow. Getting married at the age of 14 or 16 was common practice up until the begining of the last century and in some countries is still common enough. I'm not promiting the practice but if two sixteen year olds or even a sixteen year old and an older person who genuinly wants a relationship want to get married I'm not objecting either.

D'oh indeed. :swoon: The whole concept is anticipating stupidity. Then again, with the current socio-stupidic bent of our current society, the basic intent of the law is sound. It's better for the boy to marry if his (equally stupid to him) girl friend becomes preggers. This protects his rights and priviliges to his own child. If the young fool doesn't marry her, she has all the rights and he has all the responsibilities. Even if they get divorced rather quickly, the whole situation with the child is a better one. Besides, if there is a wedding, there's less chance of the parents paying for their stupidity with the child's life.:sigh:

Stude> She has more rights after the child is born but married or not the boy still has parental rights after the child is born.

The bigger cry against justice besides the fact that abortion is legalized murder is that the father gets no say in the matter. The child quite simpily is not his until it is born. And if its not born, then its like it never existed. . . at least thats what the law says.
