I like TAW, but CF has just gotten stupider and stupider and I don't feel like dealing with it anymore and trying to defend Erwin and the reletivism here is more and more astounding. Oh yeah, and abortion google ads... dumb, offensive... I suppose it's good this isn't called CF anymore.

Anyway, Im not trying to start a boycott or convince anyone to leave, and who knows, if the place I am going just doesn't work out, I may come back sticking with the opinion that although TAW is pretty cool Foru.ms is du.mb.

So, I'm going to this site that someone here told e about (RobNJ perhaps?) wiht the same crazy user name as here :). The site is http://conservative-christian-forums.com//YaBB.pl and seems to have everything I personally look for in a forum.

GOd bless you all!

John

PS: just as I am sporadic here in TAW, i will probably be spordic there... and again, I don't promise I won't be here, I just don't know that I'm gonna feel like coming here when I can just go to the aboved named forum where a lot of you are anyway. And while I don't care if people leave TAW or not, it would be cool if a lot of you signed up there and gave the place a shot. There's a place there for my favorite Catholics and Lutherans too! (and more :))

Stay in the TAW bubble. That's what I do. I don't like the rest of the site.

Anyways, also don't forget Orthopraxis.

WHile I may go there, I think I'm looking for a place where different conservative denoms and Orthdox can discuss things. I'm not doing this really out of principle as much as I think TAW will just kind of fall by the wayside naturally as I begin to get comfortble over there and with limited time.

I like the people and if some of them don't make accounts over there, I will probably come over here everyonce and a while to post a general update to the forum or PM someone. Who knows. Whatever happens happens. Along with the "buy Jesus' tears" ads, I will not miss the CF characters. That started to make things a little hoaky here. lol (but certainly no reason to leave in and of itself!).

God bless you guys nad if you stay, keep up the good work!)

I always liked the way you build your understanding, and TAW isn't that bad (yet), so it would be the shame if you complitely abstain from here - but do what you must. Most of the people I found when first comming here and in first couple of months are rearly to be seen nowdays and do popup only in short bursts of post - such a waste - that was a true Orthodox shock trooper unit...*sigh

God helps

What happened to loving our enemies or dining with sinners? The only thing that looks to be changed is that "Christian" has been removed from "forums". Is this what identifies us? Is it a label or a symbol that tells the world we are different?

John,
I am probably going to leave, but won't be joining another forum. You know where to reach me. Don't be a stranger, say hi every once in a while. God bless you my friend!

Look, this forum is nothing more than, that, a forum. It's not my martyrdom. The sites gotted wierd, I don't want to be here much anymore. It has nothing to do with dining with enemies. It's just about going where you feel like being. I don't know that I feel like being here anymore. Also, I don't know that I would charcterize Erwin as my "enemy". I don't know him personally. It's very possible that if I did, I would like him and I am sure we would have a lot in common. However, I think his vision is stupid and illogical. He's not... but the vision for this site is. If he's honest with himself and realizes this, he will soon change it to "a place to hang out." And that's great. Doesn't bother me in the least. But right now the Mission and Vision is just poorly thought out and I really don't feel like sticking around to see what else will happen. (But, honestly, if I don't find another place I like... I'll probably come back and just ignore Erwin's antics).

I didn't mean Erwin is our enemy . . . ^_^ I respect not wanting to hang out here anymore, btw. You will be missed, and this was my point.

Well, I learned that the site I was going to has it's issues. So... who knows what I'll do. Oh well, Ill proibably end up sticking around. I guess I will just see what happens and what I naturally decide to do. Not really that big of a deal I guess. The fact that CF went universalist (or just faced up to it) in it's own wacky, illogical way, isn't the problem but rather the natural consequence of Sola Scriptura mindset.

Perhaps I'll just stick around and be a thorn in Erwin's and others' sides as others here have suggested.

Well, I hope that anyone who decides to leave this fo.rum or whatever it is, will check back here once in a while to let us know where they went. It would be nice to keep track of all of our friends here at TAW.

Does the fo.rum come served in coca cola?

I hope you stay X. Personally, I didn't see any change except for the address and the fish being replaced by 'Social Group of friendly people for you that loves you too.' If they start trashing TAW, there's a problem, and if they don't - I really couldn't care less to what's happening to the outside.

I think the whole deal is a shame because the "Christian" part of the name is what brought many people here in the first place, and consequently brought some people into TAW. I am guessing this number will go lower now as time goes by, since people looking for Christian forums will not be clicking a domain called foru.ms. That's just my estimation.

The previous changes, the cross turning into a fish, then the new rules, just show the state of christianity these days.

I am actually quite curious to see what else is coming. Surely, there are more possibilities to water down this relativistic politically correct perversion euphemistically known as western christianity...

Nice to see you again John!

Actually for me it was more because this place will no longer define Christian... so it can mean anything...yet it still poses itself as a Christian site in that it encourages Christians to reachout tho nonChristians... yet we aren't supposed to say what makes a Christian Christian. The new na.me is neither he.re nor the.re for me but rather the relativism that has engulfed the very core of CFand much of its administration.

By the way, I'm pretty impressed with that new site. Nice plase. I don't think anyone here should leave CF for it unless they want to. I think it makes sense that others are sticking around and I totally see your reasoning. THat's great and I happy. It's just not for me anymore.

God bless!
