Erwin has destroyed the Christian fellowship here on CF and has made this Site a Socal community not a Christian one.Our voices have fell on deaf ears and he has killed this Christian site for the sake of pleasing men. This is a sad day for all of us and we must come together and let Erwin know this is not acceptable.God Bless you all :sigh:

 Hugs go out to ALL of you.

It was bound to happen, atleast now it's clear rather than it being a fake Christian website.

Not just the name change, but Erwin also put "Faith" at the BOTTOM of the forms index.

I guess one slap in the face wasn't enough.

It's also disgusting that the ad to become a "Christian Forums" site supporter still shows up at the bottom of the page.

Stopping using the name "Christian" was a smart move. I think Erwin deserves credit for a wise decision. The responsibility associated with the name "Christian Forums" is actually too great for any one person. I'd give the name over to the control of a solid Fundamentalist Local Church to administer as a part of their outreach ministry.

As for this new Forum with the new name, ....if you want a christian area around here let's make it right here among us Fundamentalists.

We're going to have to figure out a game plan together - come together and figure something out.If you have any suggestions let me know. Some of the people are suggesting we flood all the sub-forums with a God Filled message and others are thinking of raising an army of us and reaching out to everyone (also everyone sends Erwin godly messages). Some others believe the site supporters should ask for a refund and stop paying the forums until ERWIN brings back "CHRISTIAN" Forums. Please let me know of any ideas that you have.God Bless

When you get married your wife changes her last name to your last name.In the same way when we entered this commited relationship with Christ we adopted his last name.I am proud to hold the name CHRISTian and so should Christian Forums.God Bless

Actually my friend I appreciate you zeal but all of this happened after 777. Accompanied by the resignations of no less than 40 staff members. From Mods to Alpha.

I'm sorry my friend but Irwin removed anything that could have been considered distinctively "Christian" on 777. The name change at least shows that he has the integrity to not call something Christian that isn't.

The "Christians Only" section was originally at the bottom. It was only a recent development for it to be at the top.

That's how I see it too.

What's also interesting is i thought the vote was unanomous to "keep" the name "Christian Forums".

Yet here we are. "Foru.ms". A clever name in and of itself i might add.

...never would have guessed it.

...but a positive relief.

It was becoming quite a spiritual battle on perhaps even parts of Heaven over the use of the name "Christian" here by those who aren't one. We had even Muslims and RC's and Mormons here self-defining themselves as "christian". I think that was their greatest attraction to this place in the past. A chance to put on the cover of "christianity" over their agenda.

I'm not sure what poll you are talking about, but it has to be this (http://foru.ms/t5757523-should-christian-be-removed-from-website-titleshould-cf-be-renamed-with-new-vision.html) one or this (http://foru.ms/t5787680-at-crossroads-cfs-vision-poll-vote-only-here.html) one.

Both the former and the latter polls had 54% against the changes. This is a simple majority, but by no means is it unanimous.

It was unanimous because only my vote counted.

Can someone clarify what is 777?

I am soooo slow on these abreviations, sorry.

The initial changes began on July 7, 2007 (07/07/07, 777). Those changes are often referred to as 777. It took me a while to catch that too.
