I just cant resist!!!!!! please, I am addicted to helping, feeding, and playing with any and all pets that dont stick their happy little tongues out at me!!

I also know that some animals, such as snakes or fish, do not tolerate being over fed too well, so I am careful not to give anything that will exceed o% hunger level (or shall I say deceed - if that is even a word -- anyways I dont want it to go too far under either)
I also no that if I give my own dog (living) too many biscuits or treats he wont eat his dogfood and thereby wont get the nutrition he needs, and I worry for him. and although it is nice to be able to throw a dog a biscuit now and then, if too many people walk by and give him one, then again he wont be hungry enough (even here) to consume a full meal of dog food.

so adding these two facts together and the fact that say a snake or fish needs to be 20 points hungry for a full meal (or even a venus fly trap) but others may feed them small biscuits as they see them, how can an owner be sure they are eating what they need? or is this even considered in the animals over all virtual health here?

wether it is or not, in thinking of the owners that are particular on how their animal eats (maybe strictly vegetarian food or no milk etc) then perhaps they would not want others to be able to feed thier pet. also, for any adults who have kids with an accoutn here, maybe the parent wants the kids to be able to show responsiblitly and feed their own pet without interference.

case in point, can there be an option added to allow/disallow others from feeding your pet? playing is one thing, but we dont want the animals to eat too much junk food either.

also, since there are 3 stages of life, should it not also be consisteant that there be three sizes/portions of food for each pet? I dont think I saw smaller portions for the snake or venus fly trap.

I am trying to learn as much as possible to become a CF pet worker so if I have any other questions, you may see me around here more, and hopefully I can be a part of the team soon!!

thanks, I got that much, but I guess what I am saying is, I might be considerate enough to know the ins and outs, but if my dog is say 3% hungryu and someone walks by and feeds him a big portion of dog food wont he get sick from over eating?

and also, I think it is important for parents that want thier kids to learn to take care of their own pet, to be able to politely dissallow others to feed them (then the parent can if they want to by using the kids account)

maybe I wanst clear, I am I gues playing 'devils advocate' here and trying to llok from the inside out and vice versa at the same time.......

hope this makes more sense

I appreciate your thoughtfulness in all of these matters:angel: No, these particular "nutritional" facts are not considered with our pets zfawnz. Would perhaps make feeding more interesting though:yum:

case in point, can there be an option added to allow/disallow others from feeding your pet? playing is one thing, but we dont want the animals to eat too much junk food either. Personally I have thought, and asked here before, this very thing and do sooo agree that there could be options added... like do not feed and maybe check points as to what you don't want the pet to have. Erwin's been so busy with other things I've not ever went and posted this in (what is it called?) the Forum Suggestions as I figured it would go unnoticed...but maybe you're just the one:clap:

also, since there are 3 stages of life, should it not also be consisteant that there be three sizes/portions of food for each pet? I dont think I saw smaller portions for the snake or venus fly trap. Good eye, some do, most don't. The one's that do offer these seems to be more "expensive" than just feeding chicken:doh:'Spose it's like organic food or fun foods.

I am trying to learn as much as possible to become a CF pet worker so if I have any other questions, you may see me around here more, and hopefully I can be a part of the team soon!! We look forward to seeing you around more often then fellow pet lover! Any other questions...post away, we may not be able to change the way things are set up now but discussion is always a start. We'll be proud to have you join us, I'm sure you can expect to hear from the doctor soon:amen:

here is another ?

what happens when the pets get to level 100/100? do they just live forever or is there a way to show that old age has set in? does the happiness / pleasure just decrease faster? wether they are fed or not?

I noticed in the day care yesterday that schnaps the snail is already at this stage. since it is not liekly he will be adopted, is terminaing him by deletion at the end of the month the usual way to 'purge' those animals that have gotten to the point they are likely to pass from old age?

here is another ?

what happens when the pets get to level 100/100? Nothing^_^ (other than, maybe, calling them Centurians:)) do they just live forever As long as they are being cared for:thumbsup: or is there a way to show that old age has set in? Nope. Other than the visual growth chart (in the stickied area), that you've noted, there are no deteriorating effects if that's what you mean:P Their age shows also, in their levels as you've seen:D does the happiness / pleasure just decrease faster? No wether they are fed or not? Good question! No,kinda like the movie Cacoon^_^

I noticed in the day care yesterday that schnaps the snail is already at this stage. since it is not liekly he will be adopted, Why not:cry: The last one I adopted I actually was looking for a 100/100 cause there are only a hand full around. is terminaing him by deletion at the end of the month the usual way to 'purge' those animals that have gotten to the point they are likely to pass from old age?^_^  No, this is the way the program is set up for old and new born babes alike:( Guessing it's to save us all from being overwhelmed: work wise, bandwidth and more to think about/learn from:)[/quote]

Another after thought, lol:)

There are a few pet owners who Have asked us to not feed their pet, and they are marked as such (DNF) on our lists. There are only about 5 of these though, if that. Like warrior said earlier here, they can always communicate with us:angel: Our responsibility is to the pet owners, and we Do comply with their wishes!
