Sadly, it is sitting on my bookshelf waiting for me to pay it some attention! I am such a sloth when it comes to reading.

I have only read the first four psalms at the moment but his comments have been good thus far, I shall keep you informed. :)

Yes, we will be expecting a full report on this book as soon as you are finished reading it. :D I have a few books to get through myself. I've been slow because my sinuses have been bad the past few weeks. It has been difficult to get further than a couple of paragraphs at a time.

I was just about to say that thus far my favourite comment has been:

"The Psalter has nothing to say to the worldly; it is not for the unconverted, the unrepentant. It is, rather, the prayer book of those who strive for holiness of life and the unceasing praise of God."

I have not read it...yet. I have read and listened to Fr Readon on AFR, and he seems very direct and to the point. He also doesn't pull any punches when it comes to heterodox beliefs. The Psalms have been one of the biggest personal revelations for me since coming to Orthodoxy. It blows my mind that I considered myself Christian, yet knew nothing of the Psalms. Perhaps it was revealed to me according to my capacity;)

Same here. I bought it when Fr. Patrick Henry Reardon came to Dallas last year and spoke about prayer. So many books, so little time....
