Hi teenchristian and welcome to CF,

Baptism is a very important step that evidences your faith in Jesus Christ, but baptism does not save. You are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. That is why baptism should be done after you have accepted the Lord.
With that being said, as long as you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, if you died before baptism, God will judge you based on what is in your heart. So, follow in the steps of Christ and put your trust in Him. Faith is what saves.

John 3:16-18
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

God Bless

As the previous poster explained, baptism is not a must for salvation.

As for the question of what denomination, if I read the question correctly, I would say where ever God leads you.

Scripture is clear - believe, repent and be baptized - and water baptism is an important part of our Christian walk. It is a sacrament directly ordained by Christ.

However, dying before baptism isn't a barrier to heaven. Consider the thief on the cross - he saw paradise on that Friday because of His confession of belief in our Lord and Savior.

Salvation is dependent upon accepting the love and forgiveness of Christ, and upon committing your life to His hands.

Baptism is an act of obedience from believers.

It does not wash away your sin. Christ did that.

Christ, did say, that if you deny Him before men, He will deny you before the Father. Baptism is a process of announcing to the world that you have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior.

When asked what one had to do to be saved, the answer that was given in God's word (Acts 16:30-31) was not "be baptized." It was "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."

When Christ was asked the question, Christ responded that one must love the Lord thy God with all they Heart and sould and mind. (Luke 10:27)

That does not mean that Baptism is not important. It is a very important public acknowledgment of Christ in your life, and it is, in a way, a very symbolic gesture of surrender.

He also was told he would be with Jesus at the time he was in paradise. However, Jesus was in the grave the day he died. Is Paradise in the grave?

Then, there is the point that the only one to ascend to heaven is Jesus. Heaven isn't our hope; its the resurrection.

Also, the cruxifiction wasn't on Friday; it was on Wednesday.
