View Full Version : What Is The Point?

To me this sounds like those tomagachis that would die just a few days after buying one. What realy is the point in the CF pet? Can you do anything with them besides trying to keep them alive? How many of you actualy own one and what do you do with it? I was thinking of getting one but don't know if it is worth it. I don't want something that is going to die right away and is to hard to care for.
P.S.
Does anyone have the pet rock, if so does it actualy have to eat and be cleaned? Is it actualy alive? Well virtualy alive I mean.

Hi :) The point, I think, is that you'll have a little buddy, and something to care for. No, you can't really do anything with them...even when you feed them or play with them you don't see them eating or playing. All you do is click the button. It's not for everybody (some people will think it's a waste of time, and maybe it is for them.) But to some people it's a fun and cute aspect of CF that makes them smile.
And yes, you do have to feed them or they die. I don't know how long you can go without feeding them before that happens, though. And I'm not sure if it's different for each animal? But yes, even the pet rocks have to be "fed"...lol. their food? Dirt!
But really, the pets aren't hard to care for. I usually feed my dog twice a day...once in the morning, and once in the evening before I go to sleep. That's all you have to do, really. Because when you feed them, their happiness automatically goes up as well. (Unlike a tamagachi pet that I had when I was younger that I had to constantly pay attention to and play with/clean up after, lol.)
Anywho, I hope that helps you a bit :) I'm not an 'official' pet worker, but I try to help out where I can and answer any questions that I can...so if you have more questions, feel free to ask!

I guess it is just so that you can take care of something for fun. They don't die that easily---you just have to feed them almost every day and the food isnt that expensive----the most is like 10 Blessings.
Some people like them and some people don't, so why don't you just try it out and see if you like them.

In order to care for a CF pet, it's best if you are able to sign in at least every other day to feed your critter. Your pet will gain 1 percent hunger for every hour it isn't fed. After it reaches 100%, it will survive for four days before it will starve to death. If you can't sign in to feed your pet on a regular basis, it's probably best not to get one. Also, it does cost blessings to care for your pet. It'll take an average of 6 blessings a day to feed your critter.
If you think you might like to try pet ownership, there is another thread in this forum... I'm offering to pay adoption costs up 500 blessings for the next eight people.
If you have any other questions, please let me know! Have a great night!

thanks for the thread, even if you were skeptical inthe beginning, it is nice of you to ask, I dont know if I would have had the guts to post this question, because I am truelly an animal lover at heart, but I was also wondering som eof the same questions because how can you compare a little virtual icon to a real living loving pet? I am glad though that I got one. It is a matter of having something to be accountable for, and for someone looking for any and all reasons not to commit suicide, any reson to keep living, or to have something to depend on me is worth investing in until I can come out of this darkness. In fact I just put in an application to be a pet care worker and am even checking in on the pets in the day care voluntarily until I hear back. for young kids, it is an example of responsibility, and when it comes to teaching kids, nothing is too trivial.
thansks again for posing this thread!! I hope you dont mind if I give your pet a treat and play with him a minute.
