Hi,
How do you feel about removing, or relocating, this forum? It seems that the "formal debate" rules are rarely followed, which leads me to believe these discussions should just take place in one of the Theology forums.
It has 3 pages of threads and has been open for a year or so. It doesn't seem to get a lot of participation.
How do you feel about this?

Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I would notice. and this forum foundation of formal debate is like to mussel or leash the spirit of God.
Informal debate based on respect and honor unto others, in informal debate is to wrestle with the spirit and worthy and worth while to all who would use.
Just my opinion out of spiritual guidance.
I pray my words do not offend, God bless C.F. and all who use it.

I actually like the idea of having debates in one area. That way, I can have peace in my denominational forum, and if I want a debate, I know I can come here.
Maybe the rules need to change instead.

Its always good to advocate a more civil tone in discourse.
I liked the title of " Formal debate". As to the concept that all people are formal unto one another in debate.
As to say before each post, as in British parliment.
The Right Honorable member " name". And have each debater; debate using a formal tone and manner. this sounds Great to me.
In many forums, its a insult debate and personal attacks, and speaking one to another in first person; instead of speaking to issues and themes and concepts; and refraining from speaking too, or speaking about, the individuals on the subject matter, but speaking only to the Issue. And if one does, speak unto another, the term Honorable or righteous, must be an adjective unto post.
Which rule would always confirm and remind the posters of the formal rules to be applied.
Just my thought to clean up debate, and free up the spirit, to enlighten the flock and church; that the concealed hidden and secret truths of God, can be manifest in the Church.
I pray my words do not offend, God bless Christians in forum, and all who use it.

I think the debate forums should be kept and the rules should be changed. If they call it "debate," then it should be sort of a "free-for-all" for Christians. If they rename it as "dialogue," then I suppose it should have strict rules.

Dear Minasoliman:
I hope you are doing well my friend?
I would agree with your points; But I like the word " formal" which does diminish the concept of " free for all". which has two meanings, One is free for all that any thing Goes. and free for all, meaning all are free to come and speak.
It can be difficult to have a open dialogue without feelings being injured, and then angered responses then given in haste. And is why I always seek to form my words and posts in manner which would seek not to offend, and then add " offend not" unto my posts.
But this can be a nice open formal debate room on the word as it relates to doctrines of men.
I praise God for your spirit, and pray he keep you safe.
I pray no one take offense by my words, God bless christians in forum, and all who use it.
