Most importantly, if any account can not be taken back to the Bible or backed up with the Bible, then run from it!

Next time you hear somebody explaining that they saw a vision of light, an angel, or something mystical.... Ask them to take it back to the Bible.

I always have problems when I hear people speaking all mystic like.

People who tell me they saw a loving and beautiful angel always make me sort of nervous.

They go into great detail of how it was beautiful, and sometimes how it even talked to them. One girl said she saw an angel flying through the forest at a retreat my friend went to. He told me about it later, and he also believed her.

I'm not here to discredit any sightings, because only GOD knows. But I am here to tell you all be to be cautious and to test the spirits.

Next time somebody talks about their peaceful encounter with an angel just know this .

EVERY TIME an Angel went to a human in the Bible, the human fell to their knees in shock and fear. EVERY TIME! Why would today be any different?

I have to tell you, I am a Christian . . but if I saw something that I'd never seen before that would be as shocking and spectacular as an Angel . . I'd freak out too. I'd either fall down at first, or bust through a brick wall with my first reaction.

And every time an Angel was seen (as recorded in the Bible) , the angel HAD TO TELL the human to not fear them and to stand up.

Think about it for a while before you automatically start buying in to everybody's story of their angel encounters.

Angels are warriors, they're not cute little chubby babies or beautiful elf like looking women you see in video games. If you're seeing something like that you need to pray to JESUS for guidence and help.

Again, I do not discredit people all the time and I would suggest you all not discredit anybody. Because we truly do not know, only GOD does. But we're also asked to test the spirits (read TITUS).

Also consider these scriptures, especially if the person starts describing an mystical beautiful and peaceful experience.

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

Colossians 2:18-19

18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19 He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

I never thought of it before, but you have a point. :-)
I don't know. I don't doubt everyone who says that they have seen an angel did not fall on their knees, but you do have a point.
