There are questions asked here which have to be answered before one can trust the historical development of the churches of christianity ... yet over a billion do so without proving in what they place their faith in salvation ... surely one's substance of faith is worth more than that, particularly in light of such authenticated historic evidences as this above serious study brings to light ...
The scripture too has some damning words about modern christian doctrines too, which people do not care to accept... so on what basis is scripture rejected by those who say thei afith is based upon it ?
The saints exhort the proving of all things, but modern christians are mostly not saints and do not bothe to check ALL things about their faith
1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
How can one ignore MOST of scripture because a sinner tells one not to read it ? ... et that is what has happened throuh most of church history, and many do not read the bible even today , but place confidence in sinners just because others do ... yet Jesus' disciples became saints, ceased to be sinners, whereas most christians today die still sinning ...
It should be a concern because Jesus says that he never knew any sinner, not ever and will NOT take sinners at his return, but only the few saints given him by God ... it is very different from wha sinners teach in churches and on the web, but should one not rather believe Jesus ??? :-
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I [I]never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.[sin!]
That is Jesus saying what he wills ay to sinners at his return, read it in your bible and ask if you believe Jesus or your siner priest who teaches you otherwise ...
Surely this is worth proving , surely one cannot go on just ignoring what Jesus has said and still claim to be following him.... ???
