Testimonies - Of God in your life ( original title)

Not the best of titles, but the idea of this thread is to post testimonies of what God is doing now in your life or has done, so this will be an on going thread of Gods Love for us being manifested in our lives ( now that's the title:) )

As you'll tell from the next post the testimonies don't have to be all flashes and bangs, as mine is rather trivial in comparison to some you might read but it was something I needed at this particular point in my life and God's love showed through.

This happened a week ago, I was off to an event in London with my lad and we had been on multi map and written down the road numbers and street names of where we where going plus we had the trusty A to Z, Now driving in London is like a lot of major cities, that if you don't really know where you are going you will get lost fairly easily and quickly.

So off we set, just as we are coming off the motorway a few hold ups, my lad asks me what time I think we will get there, so I predict a time but state this is dependant on whether we get lost or not.

Then I turn to him and say the best thing we can do is Pray to God to guide us safely to where we are going, This was a spur of the moment idea and not really pre thought.

So into London we go and my Lad is helping me spot the road numbers we need, a few times we arrived at junctions and roundabouts and not one signpost had the road number on we where after and at this point I was beginning to think we had gone wrong, but I drive where I felt we should go and soon we where in the borough of London we were after, Now all we had to do was try to read street names easier said than done with cars in your boot (trunk). Then another wonderful thing looking in my rear view mirror was a couple I had met at another event somewhere else who I knew would know where they were going so I let them in front of me and followed them safely to the event.:amen:

Now for me I needed this at this moment, just to reassure me that God does answer prayer, and praise God for getting us there safely and without getting lost.

I've got two testimonies, one which is really trivial, but helpful none the less and one which is a real answer to prayer.

Trivial one - when I go to work in the morning I always ask to God to find me a parking space, and so far he always has.

The other one is financial. My husband has been off sick since April, he is the bread winner, and although I work, cannot afford to pay all the bills with my earnings. Anyway we have looked for ways to cut the bills as we knew that soon he would be down to half pay, and then no pay at all. We got paid last friday, he got paid statutory sick pay and that was all, which we werent expecting for a few months. Steven became quite despondent about it. Its usually me who gets jittery when we dont have any money, (or should I say when I dont think we got any money), anyway this time I've been as cool as a cucumber, trusting God to provide all our needs.

Yesterday we came home from holiday to find that our mortgage company has given us four months worth of mortgage at once (we did take out insurance but didnt think they would give us as much as they have), and the power company is reducing our bill from next month by £30, which was totally unexpected.

Praise God, all the bills are paid for another month, and we have extra for next month.

I like those kind of testimonies ... you know what you know and you just know it was the Lord.

I had a spat with my son a few weeks ago and he said some things that he shouldn't. His name is David ... he is 39 and he said, "I don't need you anymore"

Then he went into his room and closed the door. So I quitely let mysef out and went back to my home about 35 miles away.

I was hurt, but I of course forgave him and wondered what life would be like without my son anymore.

I went to church and I only told two people, but their prayers must have been powerful.
He was emailing me within a few days to come on back over that I was welcome in his house again.

So I took him up on the offer and sure enough he had repented.

Isn't God good and people that pray for you can make your life even better?
