Many evangelical Christians throughout the United States support a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and seek "justice" for both sides, reads an open letter to US President George W. Bush published in Sunday's New York Times.

The letter, signed by several dozen evangelical clergy and activists, urged the Bush administration not to "grow weary" in its attempt to negotiate a "lasting peace" in the region. The letter's authors sought to correct what they called a "serious misperception" that all American evangelicals objected to the establishment of a Palestinian state, and said they hoped that the awareness of a large body of evangelical support for a permanent status agreement between Israel and the PA would "embolden" Bush.

Thanks for the headsup about that vote. DH and I voted. We are not evangelicals, but what the hey?

I am saddened to see the president of "World Vision" Is on that list...
Most of the others, I am not really that suprised. There is a saying about what is taught in seminary is not the mainstream thought of any of the churches, and that within X amount of years, it will be..

We have PDL/PDC and pastors literally forcing people out of their congregations for not agreeing with their teaching which is nothing but verbatim from these books and their following of the Saddleback Church. There are online forums where these pastors talk about other members of their congregations and what the next step should be in further dividing the sheep (I have been to them and observed, it is enough to make you physically ill)...

Then you have forums in the opposite direction with the former members speaking out about what happened when X came into their congregation and took over, fired the deacons or forced the elders/deacons out and then...

The worst is what has been happening to children and the elderly in these situations... :(

(This is happening even where I used to live.)

We/They need a wakeup, and sadly I am wondering if this is the one where G-d just says "ENOUGH!".. or if it is just a while longer that we feel like Elijah and wonder "Are we alone... serving G-d?"

Rick Warren began preaching a different Jesus many years ago as have most of the "pastors" of those so-called evangelical churches and seminaries on that list. Shame on them. They have much to answer for. :(

I vote A.

Today I just read an article from Torah Bytes. In his opinion there is no significant spiritual renewal among Israel today, The Zionist dream is not working. Left-wing and right-wing solutions are not working. The strategies of aggressive force and peaceful rhetoric are not working.
