2nd Corinthians 3:7-18

7Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.

Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflectthe Lord\\\'s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Why do you think some return to Judiasm? Is it because the veil has returned to their face? Do they no longer see the glory of Yeshua? The internet is filled with ex-messianic, ex Christian stories by Jews who return to Judaism. Why does this happen?

The only thing I can think of is that they are not well-versed in the New Testament truth of grace, and salvation by faith only (not works,) so they are easily fooled by people in Jews for Judaism, or other anti-Yeshua groups.

Perhaps this post speaks to some of you here. Are you waivering in your faith? If you are, ask yourself: are uyou unqually yoked with unbelievers? Are you spending too much time with Jewish people who do not believe in Yeshua, who are trying to convert you back to bondage and slavery? If you believe that works save, you probably will end up being converted back to slavery.

Did not the Lord say that no one will be lost out of his hand? Did the Israelites have to go to Babylon for seventy years for their sins? after living in the promised land? There will be a reminant that will return. Pray like Daniel for their return.

Wow, I've never really realized how offensive MJ is to Judaism as a religion until just now. Calling Judaism the "MINISTRY OF DEATH" is beyond offensive. That's just astounding to me.

Why do you think some return to Judiasm? Is it because the veil has returned to their face? Do they no longer see the glory of Yeshua? The internet is filled with ex-messianic, ex Christian stories by Jews who return to Judaism. Why does this happen?I can tell you right off of the bat that no one sought me out to convert me to Judaism. This was something I came to completely on my own.

The only thing I can think of is that they are not well-versed in the New Testament truth of grace, and salvation by faith only (not works,) so they are easily fooled by people in Jews for Judaism, or other anti-Yeshua groups.Again, no group approached me to convert me. In fact, I don't really care for the organization Jews for Judaism because their approach is too harsh.

As well, I have studied in Christian seminaries, a Messianic "yeshivah", and a Conservative Jewish Yeshivah. I have read the whole bible (including NT) probably more than a hundred times (probably a LOT more than 100). I dare you to tell me I'm not well versed.

I think those are ridiculous categories you want to file me under.

Perhaps this post speaks to some of you here.Yeah, it speaks to me how little respect you have for Judaism to call it a ministry of death.

Are you waivering in your faith? Not at all, I love G-d with all of my heart, and truly enjoy my religion and have strong faith.

If you are, ask yourself: are uyou unqually yoked with unbelievers? Are you spending too much time with Jewish people who do not believe in Yeshua,This just seems like a joke now. Weren't the founders of your faith previously Jews? Who did they hang around before christianity was founded in a broader sense?

I also find this borderline antisemetic. for real. "Don't hang around Jews"?????????

who are trying to convert you back to bondage and slavery?
Again, NO ONE attempted to convert me to Judaism (or "bondage" as you call it).

If you believe that works save, you probably will end up being converted back to slavery.I don't believe that. NOR DOES ANY JEW, nor does the Jewish faith teach that.

This is what christianity will have you believe that Jews teach. It simply is not true.

Judaism believes it is by the Grace of HaShem we find forgiveness for our transgressions and misdeeds. It is through prayer, charity, and purging of the heart that we find redemption in HaShem's mercy.

Before bashing Judaism or making weird accusations... Why don't you study the religion a bit? AT least make yourself nominally familiar with what you want to condemn.

For the same reason they wanted to turn back to Egypt. (strangely though God never let them)

Phl 4:8 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Phl/Phl004.html#8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

I will only grace this thread with one statement:

the OP is dead wrong, displays a scarcity of knowledge about Judaism that rivals the paucity of understanding that is claimed some others know of Christianity and is arrogant and offensive to the extreme. It is posts like this that make me stay away from this forum for the most part.
