I'm starting a cell group on my college campus this fall. Could anyone give me any books or web sites on lessons, discussion topics, and praise and worship?

More than anything, I would like prayer. The enemy is continually trying to convince me I "can't do this" and I'm "not ready". I've recieved clear direction from God to do this. Pray I can get the resources. Pray God will call the people HE wants to come. Just pray against all the efforts of the enemy.

I've been praying all these things in. I just need other
people helping me pray them in as well. This is a major step in obedience.

Hey , Josua !! :)

I wanted to make sure that you had at least one reply .

This forum isn't visted much which makes replies sporadic . I am not into books and things to figure out how to do those things but others are when they have time to login to the forum .

As for me , I would do it as simple Christian parties - people get together and talk about anything and everything . But , I am in the minority on that .

May the Lord bless your endeavor .

Josua,

I'm new here and I'm a bit bothered by the other poster. I have no idea who he is, but I just felt down reading it, as if you were not good enough for him but he gave you two cents worth. Please don't get discouraged, okay? PM me and I'll give you my personal email and we'll pray together about this.

I read your testimony and all and I commend you for it. I also commend you for starting this type of ministry at your college. I'm a little older than you are and have been in the ministry (am no longer due to personal reasons), so I know it gets discouraging. Do you play the guitar or any other instrument fluently? This would help. Do you know where you want to meet (dorm room is off limits)? Keep in touch and I'm praying for you!

Josua --

I will be praying for you. :) I praise God for the work he has begun in and through you. I pray that God will call other companions to join you in this work so that you are not alone.

I encourage you to check out the "missional" scene. It is all about church/cell planting in a "go to them" rather than "come to us" mentality.

My husband and I are preparing to be part of a missional church/cell plant in the coming year as well. One of the books we've found helpful so far is called The Shaping of Things to Come (http://www.amazon.com/Shaping-Things-Come-Innovation-Mission/dp/1565636597/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-7755097-9212164?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1187057237&sr=8-1). I highly recommend it. You can also find out more about missional church planting in the links below.

Dave Fitch (my pastor) (http://www.reclaimingthemission.com/)

If you blog through this experience, let me know where. I'd love to be able to read about it and pray for you along the way.
