Romans 7:21-25 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
Colossians 1:27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39: For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

If you can save yourself ,why Jesus then? YLT;Be saved from this preversed generation.WNT; Escape from this crooked generation.KJV;Save yourself from this untoward generation.
This verse points to Christ.
Acts2:21 Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Duet30:6 God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed that you may love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul.
Jn14:15 If you love Me you'll keep my commandments.
It's Jesus who saves. It's Jesus who gives faith. Its Jesus who judges and justifies. It's Jesus Christ that is before all things and in whom all things exist.

Phil 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
we must believe in Jesus and obey him.
we must come to him first. we must seek him out.
Mt 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
what did cornelius know about God,
Acts10v1: There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
2: A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3: He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4: And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
22: And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
what is Peter job?
Jn 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Jn 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

I have been saved by the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
I am being saved and working out my salvation with fear and trembling.
I will be saved by the salvation to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:5 by the power of God, having been kept through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time;
It takes the faith of Jesus Christ to accomplish all these things. Not of our works by which we could boast.
Joh 15:5 I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

If you can save yourself ,why Jesus then?
That is a good point jdale.
Here are verses to back up what you have said.
Hebrews 7:11-12 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come—one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.
Hebrews 7:26-27 Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.

Do you believe man chooses to be saved by God?
Or do you believe God chooses man and draws man to Him?

Do you believe man chooses to be saved by God?
Or do you believe God chooses man and draws man to Him?
No, I don't believe man does the choosing. I don't believe in Freewill and that man can decide whether he goes to heaven or hell, so to speak. I do believe in freewill in how we live the christian life though, in regards to working out our salvation.
I believe Jesus draws ALL men to Himself, in His time.
How about you?

I see it basically the same as you. The following verses I take at face value.
Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
John 6:65 He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him."
John 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Greetings in the name of Jesus;
Man chooses ; either to accept and believe in God, or not; And God gives unto each man a measure of faith. But some burry their faith. Some dismiss it, and its lost forever. But man chooses to either seek, or ask or to open the door unto God; which God then will enter.
Now God chooses from the believers; whom God will Grace with salvation of Gods blood: since Salvation cannot be earned; for no man is worthy by deeds to have salvation; or if they could, the Sacrifice of Jesus would not have been needed to breach the separation from God.
I pray my words do not offend any. God bless C.F and all who use it.

If a person don't believe or have faith in ALL that Jesus say and do, how can that person be saved.
It is upon that person to FIRST believe in Jesus with all the soul and mind.
Mt 9v27: And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28: And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
It is so important that we understand what Peter says here
Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
How do you save yourself from this untoward generation?
Jn 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Follow christ christians those are your works
FOLLOWING JESUS
do as he did!
