9 I am the door; if one enters by me, will be out of danger; he will enter and leave and find grass. 10 the thief does not come more than to rob, to kill and to destroy.

Who are these thieves who come to rob and to kill the ewes of the Lord?

I have come so that they have life and they have it in abundance. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life by the ewes. 12 But wage-earning, that is not shepherd, to who the ewes do not belong, sees come to the wolf, it leaves the ewes and it flees, and the wolf makes prey in them and it disperses them, 13 because he is wage-earning and the ewes do not concern anything to him.

Who are these wage-earners that supposedly takes care of the ewes but, before the danger leave them? On which the priests live shepherds and ministers?

The doorkeeper is the Holy Spirit, and the thieves and robbers are those who pretended to be prophets. Those who did not enter into the fold by the door but by climbing up another way are the prophets who lived after the Old Testament prophets and before John the Baptist. During this time many came into the law not through Christ but by themselves. They pretended to be the prophets sent by God. But all of the proper Old Testament prophets came through Christ and for Christ. In other words, they came into the law through the door. After these Old Testament prophets, many people came into the law not through and for Christ, but by and for themselves. They were the thieves and robbers who damaged and spoiled God’s people. A period of four hundred years existed between the Old Testament prophets and John the Baptist. For approximately four hundred years those thieves and robbers damaged God’s chosen people. Consequently, the Lord said that the thief came to steal, to kill, and to destroy, but that He came that the sheep might have life and might have it abundantly (10:10). This means that the Lord came to impart Himself as life to His sheep because He is their pasture. As long as the sheep stay in the pasture, they will have the supply of life abundantly. By feeding on the pasture, the sheep will enjoy the pasture as their abundant life supply, for the Lord is their abundant life. They will enjoy the Lord and experience Him as their life more abundantly.

The thieves of ewes and those that come to kill and to destroy, no longer exists?
Well, if they were the false prophets as indicated above, then those particular "thieves and robbers" no longer exist.
Are there false prophets today?
Probably.
Would they also qualify as thieves and robbers coming to steal the sheep?
Perhaps so.

I think that the false prophets have the intentions that Jesus mentions.
The true prophet or apostle, explains the meaning of the writings and he give free, as Felipe did with eunúch, and soon leave it so that it followed his way, after is charge of the Lord.

For his fruit, you will know it

The men are Satan, says Jesus :

MATTHEW 16
21 16 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew16.htm#foot16) From that time on, Jesus began to show his disciples that he 17 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew16.htm#foot17) must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised. 22 18 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew16.htm#foot18) Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, "God forbid, Lord! No such thing shall ever happen to you." 23 He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle to me. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do."

METTHEW 10

15 Amen, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. 16 "Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves. 17 8 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew10.htm#foot8) But beware of people, for they will hand you over to courts and scourge you in their synagogues, 18 and you will be led before governors and kings for my sake as a witness before them and the pagans.
