General Guidelines

1) The CF Rules (http://www.christianforums.com/rules) apply to articles and edits in the CF Wiki.

2) Be courteous- This is to say that if you are editing or rewriting an article please always give the benefit of the doubt to the author and any other editors.

3) Be Loving and Respectful- Remember always the mission of the Wiki Project before you write. Wiki is to be used to offer information only, it is encyclopedic in nature, please treat it as such.

Turf Wars

Turf wars are ongoing battles over specific issues or articles.

To avoid turf wars, you should keep in mind General Guidelines 2 and 3. The point of the CF Wiki is not to advocate certain positions--it is to provide a reference for people. Thus, if there is a controversy about a certain topic, you should strongly consider making sure all points of view regarding it are incorporated into articles to help the reader make up his or her mind about an issue.

Unfortunately, turf wars can and will break out over controversial issues. There are several ways these may be handled:

1) Editorial Staff may close articles to editing--either for a short time or until a consensus can be reached on how to present the issue.

2) Editorial Staff may reduce an article to "stub" status until a consensus can be reached on how to present the issue.

These are not the only ways problems with turf wars may be handled, but are only examples.

Conflict Resolution

People have disputes, especially about things as deeply personal as their faith. This disputes can be exacerbated by the anonymous nature of discussions on the internet.

If you find yourself in a dispute with another member of the CF Wiki Team, first take a big step back and consider Guidelines 2 and 3. Then, if after considering these, you find yourself still having a disagreement, approach the other Wiki Team Member privately and try to reach an understanding. Many times, a simple misunderstanding leads to great flames that could have been avoided if people had simply talked to each other.

If you cannot reach a resolution of a dispute, please start a thread in the Wiki HQ briefly summarizing the dispute and providing a link to any articles that are relevant to the dispute. Please do not flame other CF Wiki Team members in these posts. The Editorial Staff and other members of the CF Wiki Team will try to help resolve disputes without having to resort to the exercise of power or discipline.

Remember: Some disputes cannot be resolved and the CF Wiki will have articles that specifically deal with disputes.

Power and Discipline

SpaceCat is the Big Kahuna of the CF Wiki Team. He is the only person who can add or remove people from the CF Wiki Team.

RaggedRobin is the Editrix (old feminine form of the word "Editor") of the CF Wiki. She is in charge of the day-to-day operation of the CF Wiki. Her assistant is Avatar. While they do not have the ability to add or remove people from the team, SpaceCat generally goes along with their suggestions.

These are the sorts of things that will get you kicked off the CF Wiki Team:

1. Flaming other Team members in the HQ.
2. Repeatedly violating in-article requests by the Editorial Staff that an article not be/ or edited, modified.
3. Sass.

Conclusion

The CF Wiki is supposed to be a collaborative environment for creating a reference that can be used by the rest of CF's members as a resource for their posts in the rest of the forum. It is up to you to make this possible.

Addendum-

Wiki articles should be Christian related or related to Christian living.

This means the common beliefs and practices as well as the Doctrinal beliefs of any one or more systems of beliefs.

It can also take into account how we live our everyday lives as Christians according to Christian practices.

Obvious exceptions that are allowed are:
The discussion of mental disorders and diseases, which even Christians have to deal with.
The discussion of medical disorders and diseases, which even Christians have to deal with.

Another Obvious exception is the discussion of Non-Christian or Un-Orthodox religions.

Since this area is enyclopeadic in fashion, things such as prose, poetry and obvious short stories that are fictious do not belong in this section of the board. Please do not post them in the Wiki or they will have to be deleted.

Thank You for your cooperation
Lovingly In Christ

We do have other Non-Christian members and we have Un-Orthodox Christian members.

The rules for such members are as follows:

Please adhere to all the posted Wiki rules.

Please restrict all your posting and editing to your own Faith.

Please restrict all posting on lifestyle to that of your own Faith or race.

Since ChristianForums Wiki is specifically designed to render information to Non-Christians in an encyclopedic form so that they may learn about Christianity without bias then we ask that the non-christian members or unorthodox members not touch or edit Christian subject matter.

This means that if you are Mormon you restrictd to Mormorn subjects only, if you are Islamic then you are restricted to Islamic or Muslim subjects only ect ....

Please realize to that your articles may be edited at anytime by any member of the wiki team for any cause.
