Given that Satan is bent on destroying the newly discovered Faith of new Christians, i thought these two quotes, which i came across this morning, might be helpful for a babe in Christ in staying focused on why they have turned from the world to the Lord:

"WE ALL HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN TWO WAYS OF BEING CRAZY--THE FOOLISHNESS OF THE GOSPEL AND THE INSANENESS OF THE VALUES OF OUR WORLD."
--Jean Vanier

"IMAGINARY EVIL IS ROMANTIC, EXCITING, AND VARIED; REAL EVIL IS GLOOMY, MONOTONOUS, BARREN, BORING.

"IMAGINARY GOOD IS BORING; REAL GOOD IS ALWAYS NEW, MARVELOUS, INTOXICATING."
--Simone Weil

You have made the right choice! Do not let the Evil One convince you otherwise.

A BOND-SLAVE OF CHRIST,

As new Christians, do not be surprised at the 'road being rough' - or if you find yourself in a trial (in a sorrow) or in a temptation that is really strong. God said He can lead you through these hard times - not that He will totally remove them. Do not associate how good or happy your life is with how much God loves or cares or is in control. I don't know His reasons - we don't know His will. Many times we don't find out. Other times He shows us maybe down the road- or maybe even during the trial or temptation.

Apathy is an invisible disease.

I guess that's a quote. Its a truth. It is a truth.

Love for God requires hatred of sin.

Remember that God set eternity in each heart: either eternity with Him or without. It's important to remember that what we do here will set us up for eternity - that we need to make the most of the time God gives us.
