View Full Version : An update - where I am at

I shared this with the Baptist forum in regards to that forum and want to share here in terms of the Fundamentalist forum.
We had this poll, and I haven't forgotten it:
http://www.christianforums.com/t5695719-fundamentalist-member-vote-on-new-sub-forums.html&page=3But
please let me explain where I am at these days regarding CF.
I hadn't asked Letalis to set the subforums up yet because I knew they would generate more reports. And as it is, reports go unaddressed due to the lack of staff and just plain uncertainty regarding rules.
With all the chaos of establishing new rules, new procedures and stuff like what are the qualifications of a mod, who can mod, what is the nomination procedure, etc...it has been difficult to get clear answers. And with moderating many forums (Baptist, Fundamentalist, Anabaptist, SR,NCBC- RM, and Nondenom and WWMC)
and being torn between focusing on the rules wiki and looking at reports (feeling discouraged regarding reports), wanting to get new staff on board...I have felt totally overwhelmed at times, and frustrated.
and now there is this:
http://www.christianforums.com/t5787680-at-crossroads-cfs-vision-poll-vote-only-here.html
It may all change and so I am wondering how much work I want to go to if it will all change anyway.
So I haven't asked for the new forums yet - let's see what happens. But I wanted you to know I haven't forgotten what you voted on.

Thanks for the update, and thanks again for all your hard work.
I have no problem waiting to see what happens, etc. and I know you guys are all so overworked. So it's silly for us to expect things to be done quickly right now. I think we can all be patient.
Specifically regarding the new subforms we voted on, I think it would be great to go ahead and get the ball rolling on that anyway if possible. They were needed prior to Erwin's changes (as evidenced by LWU, et. all), and I think they would benefit our forum overall. Even if CF ends up going back to the "old style", it would be great to have a place for other members to chat with Fundies, and it seems like we would have a chance to open the door to some new conversations that might not otherwise happen. What does everyone else think?

Unfortunately, the only qualification to "own" the name of Christ's people on the internet is to be the first to register "Christian"(Forums) and regularly pay the annual dues required to sustain a domain name.
Every true Christian here with any sufficient amount of Biblical discernment has been dealing with the unitarianism of a very theologically liberal Forum ownership. We have for instance muslims self-defining themselves as "christians" here and gaining access here to prosylitize using this Forum's resources. Same for Pagans and really anyone else with a religious reason to manufacture an explanation as to why they too are a "Christian".
That's the real source of the pandomonium. With no Biblically defined entry gate to access here, the result has been very inviting access to the true spiritual enemies of Yahshua and His people. These liberal "visions" of the Forum's owner of uniting all "Christians" are the source of the main problem that needs solving.
One solution is to transfer ownership out of his hands and into the hands of a well recognized and faithful true christian ministry that will properly administer Biblical principles here and guard the name "Christian" from all who are currently misusing and misapplying that name to themselves and their religious personas here.
The step towards giving each Congregation area some autonomy is apparently stalling out. It was a baby step in the right direction to transfer some power away from the Forum owner. Since we are using the literal name here of Christ in the Forum name, we should all the more be consulting His Word on what steps and direction to continue in. Each of us individually, as the Bereans did, have a responsibility to rightly divide all truth from error.
To say that error does not enter into the equation and that you define truth, for the sake of some vision of "unity" is this Forum's ideological ball and chain to drag. At that junction of ball and chain is where the great decider among us has to make a decision to follow Christ and restore the integrity of His name. If tired or too busy, five it all away to Christians ready to enthusiasticly take up the name of Christ and put it first in their lives.
ChristianForums without a foundation built on Christ is the present contradiction that's being witnessed by the entire internet connected world as alleged authentic christianity. What are you building on? That's a question for everyone who is honestly seeking truth and to serve Christ. Are we building on Him, the revealed Savior of all of mankind, the Creator of the Universe?
