Ok, I'll get right to the point here:
As many and most of you may know,I'm a new christian.
I go to church,read the bible,pray etc.
BUT,recently I have been not only doubting my faith in God,but the whole idea of christianiy.I keep thinking to myself the words "maybe this isnt real" or stuff like that.
I need help on getting rid of these doubts.
I know ultimately it's up to me to get rid of these doubts, but can anyone just give me your thoughts on this situation and how you would handle it.Thanks for the help ^_^

It helps to remind yourself of why you became a Christian in the first place. More importantly, pray for more faith, and for God to show Himself to you.

MY DEAR BROTHER,
Satan feeds on new Christians by attempting to sow doubts in their minds--as you are experiencing. Just keep in mind where these bogus ideas are coming from, and for what reason they are being foisted upon you, and shrug them off. If they get no attention they will just float off into oblivion.
It would help if you read some faith-engendering Christian literature which, although it is designed to change the minds of atheists, is also great for stabilizing the minds of new Christians under attack.
Specifically, i would recommend "THE CASE FOR FAITH" and "THE CASE FOR CHRIST", both by Lee Strobel. Also, my favorite which has helped me a bunch is "THE JESUS I NEVER KNEW" by Philip Yancey. And, of course, keep busy in the New Testament learning about exactly what it is you DO believe as a Christian.
If you keep you mind busy and focused on God, the Evil One will have no handhold to grab you by.
GOD'S LOVE TO YA,
ephraim

You know what? I've had the same doubts before. I don't think you need to worry so long as you expel them. If you occasionally doubt your Faith, it means you haven't died yet.
God bless

I found my problem was often more philosophical. But I'm a pretty internal kind a guy.
The problem for me was trying to split one off from the other. I see the world around me and I know it's real. Then I look at the words about what I don't see and I wonder if it's real.
Love, joy, faith, good, spirit ... they're all unseen.
But what's "real" without love? What's "real" without good? The only thing that makes it matter whether something is "real" is these things that we can't see.
There're deeper unseen realities, yes. And when they explode onto the seeing world, they are dizzying and convincing. But sometimes it just takes such a long time between those insights, I know.

My advice to you (worth every cent you paid) is the same advice I got years ago... made a difference.
Get yourself a copy of The Message( NT bible translation... let's debate different translations in another thread).
Now read the book of John.
Then read his (John's) letters.
Then weigh it and sort it out in your heart.
If that doesn't do it for you... come back and let's talk some more!
GBY indeed,
His,
Rev J

...Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we can not see. (Hebrew 11:1)
I hope that you find your way...Pray! Tell the Lord what you're going through, how you're feeling. Pray for guidance. Cry out to Him. Trust and have Faith.
"Then shalt though call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and He shall say, here I am." (Isaiah 58:9)
God Bless! I'll pray for you!

Hi and just let me say you have made the most important decision of your life to follow God!! Well done!!
Now you must learn how to daily live our your salvation!!
If find that listening to teaching via internet helps me grow in my faith.. because it is a long week before Sunday comes around.. and also I need help to understand what I am reading in the bible and how to use what I learn from the bible!!
Unfortunately for most of us.. we make the initial step to follow Christ.. and then realise it isn't easy and wonder why doubts come and many can fall away.. But if you serious and get active in learning and growing in your walk with God.. You will grow and become stronger in your faith.
Salvation is a life time walk.. and you now have a major enemy.. as member ephraimanesti said.. It is satan who has planted those doubts in your mind.. he is trying to take away your new found faith because you haven't yet learned how he works and what You are through Christ.. He is trying to trick you that what you are believing in is not the truth..
Good news for you though.. it is proof he knows you have found the truth.. otherwise he wouldn't try!! Satan is a thief and a liar.. never listen to him.. but better still learn why not and how not too!!
I recommend the book.. Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer she sets it out in a clear cut way using Gods word so you can understand.. Because those doubts will continue to come through your life.. they are one of the major ways satan fights our faith.. If we can learn to fight him back with the weapons God gives to us through His Word.. we can have victory time and time again..
I found a teaching online by Joyce that you can watch to help you from her ministry.. explains about the teaching and might encourage your heart to watch..
Battlefield of the Mind teaching (http://www.joycemeyer.org/OurMinistries/EverydayAnswers/The+Battle+In+Your+Mind/Video/battleinyourmind.htm?&MSHiC=65001&L=10&W=BATTLED%20BATTLES%20BATTLING%20FIELDS%20MINDED%20MINDS%20battle%20field%20mind%20&Pre=%3CFONT%20STYLE%3D%22color%3A%20%23000000%3B%20background-color%3A%20%23FFFF00%22%3E&Post=%3C/FONT%3E)
A link to a site with a article called Winning the battle with doubt and fear.. from her ministry site..
Here.. I also found this teaching series by Andrew Wommack..
On effortless change.. he has some teaching on overcoming doubt and on using the Word of God to transform us.. You need to know how that your reading of the bible can help you grow and also defeat satan..
http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1018
I hope this helps you.. It took me a long time to really get it.. that I needed to daily walk with God and grow strong through hearing the Word but now I cannot get enough.. and I am able to stay strong no matter what comes at me!!
Get into Christian books.. teaching.. yes yes your bible.. in church.. wherever your spirit can absorb God.. meet with others who can encourage you in your walk with God and continue to talk to God about it all too!!

Your doubts are totally natural. It doesn't have to be Satan whispering in your ear. It can just be the normal human inability to acknowledge things without proof.
You need to let your faith be your proof when you feel doubt, and test your faith when you feel strong.

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Don't worry, God is calling you back, he doesnt want to lose you as his child, and I know you dont want to lose him, when you feel yourself wishing you were closer with God, he is calling out to personally, wanting to bless you. Pray to him, everything will be alright. God Bless You Through This Difficult Time.
