I am nominating to be elected as a moderator for Conservative Christian forum
below is how this is to be conducted and this will be the procedure until further notice. Please not that you will not be considered to apply unless approved by a current moderator, so I ask anyone wishing to apply for moderator position to PM myself or Sophia7 so that we can start a Poll.
No comments are to be made in this thread. There will be another thread for discussion.
The supporting moderator will start two threads.a. A poll with two options. "Yes" and "Apply Later".b. A thread for Q&A with the candidate. In this thread there will be no more than ONE primary post per member (questions or statements)--with the ONLY exception being ONE additional post for one of the following reasons:1. to ask ONE follow up question (must be directly related to the original question)2. to clarify the orignial question IF asked by the applicatant, or3. to recant a statement made by the member in the original post the member made.c. While the application itself is no longer necessary, it might be usefull to use the old mod application to glean some of the questions for the applicant.6. The poll and Q&A threads will remain open for 7 days. At this point they will be closed.
7. The poll thread will be used ONLY for voting purposes. The only posts to be made in this thread are to indicate a change in voting. All other posts will be moved to the Q&A thread.
8. At the end of the seven days, the votes will be tabulated. Greater than 70% approval (Yes votes) will result in the candidate being elected. This option is chosen over a simple majority (50% +1%) to avoid polarizing the fora. 70% or greater demonstrates a wide degree of acceptance of the candidate.

I'm going to keep bumping this poll so it stays at the top . If anyone else wants to bump that would be appreciated, but No discussion should take place in this thread and will be deleted if there is any. :)

Poll reset. It's now public.
Thanks
Everyone will have to vote over again, as I made a mistake and didn't make the origional poll public, but only vote once, new accounts will be checked to be sure they are not sock accounts and those votes will be rejected.
Also, this poll should be voted on only by conservative Christians as described in our wiki

I'm going to have to vote for Apply Later. Again, why isn't there a no option?

Again, PeaceLover02 -- you are NOT allowed to vote on these matters as you are NOT a member of the Conservative Christians section!

Why am I not a member here if I am indeed a conservative Christian?  If I have violated any rules, I sincerely apologize but I'd think I'd be allowed to vote and debate here since I do qualify as a conservative Christian now.

You are NOT a conservative Christian my dear nor does one qualify as one by changing descriptions, or icons... You are being dishonest with us. We are NOT naive or fooled easily. We, as conservative Christians, are very attuned when one is attempting to make a fool of us. Also, we do NOT suffer fools gladly.
Check the thread you posted (Am I allowed to Debate or post in here) and see my response to you there.
Please do NOT continue to clutter this thread with your postings...

I am exiting this thread as I clearly am not welcome in this thread. I will do as the members of this forum have requested and only post fellowship posts until I am finally welcome here again if that ever happens. :sigh:

It will happen sweetie. There are many people here who care about you. I am one of them. Just take it one step at a time, okay? Put it in God's hands.

...why 5:32 p.m.?
Probably because the poll was started at 5:32 p.m. on whatever day it was started. If you set a certain number of days until a poll closes, that's how it works.

I'm not sure what's the next step in the process but I do know somewhere down the line we have to go through training. I'm still waiting to have a word from Jim or Sophia.

I would suggest PMing Tishri1, our ET admin. She will probably have to request that you be officially added as trainee mods.
